Need help figuring out how to improve here, i want to stop getting benched
Guild is progressing on mythic nexus-king and i've been on the bench since start of tier for "low dps" because i failed to get a helm/chest in 30-ish keys on week 1 for catalyst 4set
They brought me in for 20 pulls but swapped me out for a new trial and then again for a 4th healer
I have a feeling it's a rotation issue but I'm not sure what exactly I'm doing wrong?

tldr got benched for no 4 set week 1 and then never got to actually play properly in following weeks to get comfortable on bosses / get used to slayer
hi i do want to go over your log i just want to make sure I get the right person but judging from your name on dc you are Rù @mild isle ?
Yes
aight gonna look over it after eating
Most of it looks like sending Rampage too soon and not casting enough RBs, I only checked the Fractillus log since it's pure ST and you didn't follow Bladestorm channel with RB spam to stack Slaughtering Strikes a single time
Alright i went over your log and honestly its rly not that bad

Opener
Your opener is wrong / scuffed we want to do the following;
DpsPot(<1sec before pull) -> Reck-> Avatar -> Charge (this will provide enouugh rage for you to cast rampage and be insta enraged) -> Rampage -> BS (Bladestrom) -> spamming RB (Raging blow) until one of the following conditions is met; you run out of RB stacks, LOST enrage OR hit 5 stacks of SS (slaughtering strikes) (i will go into why we do this on the next point!)-> Rampage -> Normal rotation -
Stacking BF + SS
Now we go into why we spam RB after a BS.
After each BS we enter a "phase" where we stack the dmg amp for rampage from BF (Brutal fnish, a hero tree note that makes it so our next Rampage after a BS does 50% inc dmg) and from SS (spec tree talant that makes it so that after each RB we get a stack of SS that incs the dmg of Ramapge by 20% for each stack) both of them combined make some insane dmg, during this "phase" we ignore rage cap but we do not want to lose enrage for more than 1 GCD!
After BS you will cast RB until one of the following conditions is true; dont have any more RB stacks (most likely), LOST enrage (likely) OR reached 5 stacks (cap) of SS (least likely)
If we lose enrage our next GCD must be Rampage thats why i said "lose enrage for more than 1 GCD" But we fully ignore rage cap during this phase
- Rampage too early / often
We rampage at +115 rage we do this to minmax the GCDs inbetween needing to refresh enrage its a buff we want to maintain as long as possible and fit as many GCDs in as we can before we need to refresh it. We lose nothing if we DELAY rampage to +115 rage but we do not want to WASTE it we will overcapp every now and then but try to avoid it! A few reviews ago i did the math for someone why delaying it is such a huge deal in the long run
We only want to rampage below +115 if we lost enrage or have 0 RB stacks.
- You put execute / SD on a too low prio
there are some instances where you hold SD for too long you have 2 stacks of SD and throw in a few GCDs in before deciding to use them which isnt what we want to do, the moment the WA (i assume you have bc you DO use SD when you have too but just too late) lights up and plays its sound we want to execute and use the proc bc we run a high risk of overcapping on either MfE stacks or SD stacks which in the long run will cost you BS casts in the fight! we do even overcap rage if that mans we use SD when it lights up that's how important it is
**Final words **
I think you are doing fine the things i pointed out are "standard" errors i would say i point out on almost every review but its rly nothing major or stht that costs you like 10% dmg or sth like that. So ngl if you play like this and you still get benched for performance you are better of somewhere else bc i think you play fine your rotation is good your gear is up to date, also if a guild doesnt give you 2nd chances / fuks you over for not getting RNG gear even though you tried getting it ~ i think that says a lot more about them than it does about you. I have a 96 on that fight i know a log doesnt tell the whole story but you have a similar pars to me and i raid at WR 500 so you got plenty of options to go to, not my cup of tea but might be worth thinking about it bc you area good player!
If you need anything or have any more questions let me know you can either @me here or dm me wherever you feel more comfortable :)
@mild isle

so my biggest takes out from this are i need a better enrage tracker and to start doing the RB after bladestorm thing again
the execute/SD stuff i just press execute within 1 gcd whenever i hear the kaching but i do sometimes space them out to rampage
not enrage a better rage tracker i would say, i for example have my rage number change colour the closer they get to +115 purple when i am at +100 and orange if its +110 this will tell my brain to not press it the moment i see the glow up on Rampage (trust me you are not alone with this most ppl press Rampage the moment it lights up the visual effect on the middle of your screen rly doesnt help fix that issue lol) and yea press RB after BS thing is big as well, and i understand that you space out in pulls happens to the best of us and start sleeping on MfE procs or SD stacks lol
sth like that for rage
To be honest someone better at warrior just told me "don't press execute unless kaching" and i've been following that
not perfectly accurate since sometimes the WA doesnt play the sound bc you are in a 30 man grp or sth like that and there are lots of sound ques going on from other WAs or Bigwigs or stuff like that so always knowing when and why you press it is my preferred way
the visual for it is right next to my hp so i notice it every time dw
As for the guild stuff, I did 30+ keys week 1 to try and get helm/chest for 4 set but ultimately failed to do so and thus was benched week 1 because "we need dmg" and they used the heroic clear for that week as basis for who sits. Obviously people who got luckier were in. The following weeks tho I was only brought in on first two for vault min-maxing and never got to progress anything. At soulhunters they added a new trial warrior and when they reached nexus-king put him in while i still sat benched. Got put in for 1 night because a bunch of people were on vacation, did okay and then got benched again with "don't worry we'll bring you on reclears". Every raid night on time, prepped, maxed crests/upgrades/crafts for the week and i just get the dreaded "we rotate" whisper but they never rotate
