Hello! I'm looking for some input on my play to better myself. I'm not new to the spec but i am kinda new to MT, i really preferred Colossus. anyway, i have to be doing something wrong, because my break downs are significantly lower than other players my ilvl or around the same kill times. any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I mean just generally speaking you are top 10% of your class parse wise at the very least

#

Thats by ilvl too

#

in terms of speed alone

#

you're rank 3 for that speed

#

rank 8 on loomithar for the speed

#

Other than that, you don't hit ignore pain enough as of right now

#

This is your rage waste

#

this is the rank 1 log

im trying to figure out what the difference between me and other warrior tanks who are putting up like 4 Mil + every boss, like ive got something that is keeping me from parsing where i want. Maybe it is the rage convert into violent outburst?

TLDR you are not playing effectively at the high end and that is the difference. Functionally you are playing well enough for the most part, but the gap between a 91 and 99 parse is far greater than the gap between say an 80 and 90 parse:

1 - you are wasting rage, this leads to less outburst procs and thus less damage. You are sitting at 100 for large periods during non-execute phase. On some bosses this may mean you need to eat a mechanic to maintain uptime.

2 - You are not spending your outburst on shield slam in ST. You spent it on 7 shield slams (right), 8 thunder blasts (not right but not dismal) and 7 thunderclaps (bad). Probably your biggest damage loss.

3 - You're playing roar and not spear on a boss that is largely immobile and you can capture the most out of spear. Probably costing you damage.

4 - You are tunneling the boss and doing zero damage to tangles. Even in your current talents executing the tangles would be both beneficial to your dps and to the raid. Playing heavy handed over BSV would probably give you some more though not really necessary.

agree with those points, especially 1 and 4

#

you wasted 15% of the rage you generated on that fight which is crazy

#

hitting the adds is also really important

#

right now prot damage revolves around thunder blast and execute

#

when you are approaching a fight you should always be looking for opportunities to hit multiple targets with thunderblast or to cast additional executes; targeting the adds lets you do both these things

#

on my last loom kill i did 200k less dps than you to the boss but i also did 600k dps to the tangles

#

you are also playing slow and your CPM should probably be 10 higher
