Hi guys,
I've been lurking this channel for a while and Iv'e come long ways when it comes to managing rage waste and focusing more on shield slam and TB instead of ravage.
Though something I notice when I compare my logs to others is that I seem to have pretty low "Blocked Hit" value of 74.05%, as in this log: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/PbRntc8AyfGwMVdJ?fight=last&type=damage-taken&source=3

When I compare this to, for example, this high key log: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/zG4d1fn6X8CyMwKW?fight=1&type=damage-taken&source=3 tha tank has a "Blocked Hit" value of 89.0%.
When comparing casts, we are at almost the exact same % number, I am at 6.9% and he is at 6.85%.

I am obviously missing something here, need some assistance. I am also very open to feedback regarding anything else you guys could find, this is just what I am focusing on myself at the moment 🙂
Thanks!

You are not facing mobs

#

It’s really that simple

#

Shield block up but not blocking hits = mobs are not in front of you

#

This typically happens on gather

#

I can take a look at you log here shortly and try to offer some more targeted feedback

I see your blocked hit incidence on the floodgate as 95%

#

oh thats not yours

#

Pull 9 (the kelps before swampface) you kind of fell off the rails - looks like you were running around to gather a lot

#

Pull 13 same thing, running around to gather

#

The rest of your pulls seems OK, high 80s

#

In your particular scenario here - you should be relying on the marks hunter to misdirect packs to you as you move in so you can stay in front of them, if youre running about gathering hectically with an MM in the group one of you is playing incorrectly

#

Other than that you could probably get better use of disrupting shout range to pull casters in, you tend to stand on top of them when you use it but it has a 14 yard range

#

but mostly just being aware of your directionality while gathering large spread pulls will probably help you a lot

#

Pull 9 in particular you fly down to divers and then turn around completely while they beat the shit out of you from behind

#

thats the largest incidence of missed blocks

#

your health doesnt drop here because they're eating your ignore pain mostly so IMO this really isnt an issue but if you want to know where your blocked hit % is going down that is probably the biggest contributor

Wow, thank you so much @static rain ! This is insanely good feedback. Will for sure think about this, and I will also ask my hunter to help me gather spread out packs
