Hey guys
so Im kinda struggling to understand where my rotational errors are with the current MT build. Maybe you can give me some much needed input. I cant really say if im overcapping rage all the time or just pressing SS or Blasts at the wrong time.

It would be much appreciated. The log is from our Fractillus Kill yesterday and I was surprised that Im doing so poorly.

So, as a heads up, there's only, like 40 some odd Prot Wars who've even had logs submitted for that boss so far, so I wouldn't strees super much over all of the differences; things like Sudden Death RNG can swing your damage a non-zero amount. For example, Sense got 6 more SD procs than you with relatively similar fight lengths and close enough engagement with the boss (things like not maximizing uptime can affect SD negatively, but that's neither here nor there for you)

Really, the main thing hurting your damage is not spending enough rage; you wasted 480 rage, just shy of 5 whole rage bars. That alone is pretty much two whole outbursts right there that could have potentially gone into Shield Slammin' it up for even more damage and rage.

#

With generating more rage from those outbursts you could have gotten, that's also a few more executes you likely could have snuck in there or at least more fuel to get some more offensive value in some way out

#

Also, if I'm recalling our 4p correctly, it's a flat 35% chance to proc; in raid fights, this can potentially be a source of RNG damage, as well, since while over time it'll trend to 35%, raid fights are short enough to have some stragglers that trend higher than the average

#

For example, at a quick glance, with just 2 more casts of Thunder Blast, Sense ended up having what looks like 4 more procs of Ionzing Strikes

#

It also looks like you may have lost out on a cast of Avatar as a result of the rage waste, though I haven't looked too deep to see if that's the case; it's just quite likely since it is 48 seconds gone without considering Outburst's effect on your rage gen potential

#

Basically,

Press Ignore Pain more so you don't overcap rage as much

Thanks for all that input. All that rage going to waste, I didnt even realise that. I will try to spam IP more often. Unfortunatly Im old and my hand always hurts with the current fast pace button pressing after a boss fight sadge

I haven't actually had someone try this yet, but would it be helpful for you to have two different IP keybinds? That way, you could swap the stress of how often you're pressing between different parts of your body instead of repeatedly doing the same motion over and over
