Hi all,

I’m looking for some further advice. I don’t think I’m a bad player, but I’ve been relying on Hekili and ideally want to move away from it.

I’ve been raiding Normal & Heroic and even achieved a few 95 parses in my first week, with most of my other parses above 70. However, this past week I ran into some issues — on fights where I felt I performed really well (better than on bosses where I previously parsed higher), I ended up with much lower parses. For example, I only managed a 20 parse on Soulbinder Naazin despite feeling like I played it perfectly. On the other hand, on Fractillus where I made plenty of mistakes, I still ended up with a 50.

At the moment, I only have 2 set pieces and an item level of 706 (I’ve been pretty unlucky with set drops), which may also be a factor.

I’m aware my stats aren’t perfectly aligned after checking Murloc IO for recommended distributions, so I’ve included a screenshot of my current stats for reference. That said, I am simming all of my gear, and what I’m currently using is based on those sim recommendations.

What I’d really like is help identifying what I might be missing. Ideally, if someone is willing to walk me through a few things on Discord, I’d be happy to share my logs.

For context, I’m a fairly new WoW player — I only started at the end of Season 2 of TWW — and while friends have given me some advice, I’d now like to get more specific guidance on Fury Warrior.

Any advice would be massively appreciated, and I’m happy to provide any additional info if needed.

I think ultimately, you know what you're doing. You seem to have a really good grasp of whats happening contextually, and with the class. Just doing a quick skim over your raiderio profile, I noticed that you're just stacking single stat gems in your rings, and have 2 Authority of Radiant Power enchants on your weapons. Where relying on Hekili and "feeling" works up to a certain point, in order to get the most out of your performance you need to sim your character on Raidbots, using the SimulationCraft addon, and just practice your rotation. I think if you sim swapping your offhand weapon enchant to the haste enchant, and select different gem types, you will get some interesting results. If you're using Flasks of Alchemical Chaos, realize your stat weights are going to be a little different than just raw stat on your character page. Being a fury warrior, we also get a lot of Haste and Mastery (mastery Especially) in combat and in enrage. You might find that Versatility + Haste or Mast, is the sweet spot for your gems. I also notice a lot of Crit gear as well, which is fine, but I believe that you might have a little more use out of different secondaries, if you get Seaforium Pacemaker. I think You're doing fine. Don't just blindly follow guides on murloc IO, you won't learn anything that way. Sim your character, and play around with talents, enchants, gear, etc.

Hope that was at least a little useful !

Honestly this is really helpful so I've actually been Simming my chracter a lot and part of me felt like I've done it to much and im confusing myself. or I'm reading it incorrectly,

here is an example of a sim I've done (see below Link) But what's confusing me is why a ring that shows as my bis --> the signet of the valse accuser is advising me to instead use a champion Radiant Necromancer band could this be from the fact that The necromancer band is giving me versatility ?

I also have The pacemaker Trinket "So'Leah's Secret Technique" "Sacbrood" & "Ticking Sack of Terror" all 4 of these aare hero and the only combination the sim says i should be using is sacbrood and Ticking sac of terror,
I dont suppose you would be able to see if i have simmed this correctly would you im still getting used to the simming stuff so unsure if im doing it correct

My plan is to farm the hero version of the The necromancer band and i think that will help a little,

Am i right in thinking its less about having my Bis in slot pieces and more about having the correct balance of stats ?

Okay I see that you simmed a lot of different trinkets, but you can also select different enchants and gems. ALSO, The sim is a patchwerk fight, which means that it is a single target situation. I believe if you want to do dungeon sims or cleave sims, you need to pay for premium unfortunately. Paying for premium also removes the limit on the amount of variables you can change in your sim. Change your talents to a slayer build / raid build and your results will change. Obviously this isn't the end all be all of your damage, and playability of a character. Just keep in mind that certain stats might sim higher in a case by case basis, and some stats might be better for raid rather than dungeons, or vice versa.
