#How can I pump harder as arms? Wowanalyzer is making nonsensical recommendations

Hi folks,

I noticed on a recent operation: floodgate +10 key that I had a green and gray log as arms. I didn't feel that I played that poorly but clearly I need to pump a LOT harder. My AoE damage seemed fine at most points but admittedly I did have to run out of melee range a bunch because for example the shreddations formed a circle blocking the entire playable melee area. I'm unsure how much of my poor damage is a personal skill issue (e.g. bad rotation) and how much was due to the way the group played the key. I tried running this through wowanalyzer but it was recommending things that made no sense like using colossus smash which wasn't talented.

I would be very grateful if someone were to look over my log and let me know how to improve. I can also get another key logged after the maintenance if this is insufficient. Thanks in advance.

well for starters, what was your thought process here ?

#

you arent combining your cooldowns properly, you're random sending demolish early, you're clicking warbreaker before your other CDs, you click Rend on an AoE pull instead of Tclap - worsened by the fact that you click rend after warbreaker.

#

did you practice the recommended aoe opener?

I honestly thought you were just supposed to send those cooldowns whenever they come up rather than combining them. So that they stay on cooldown as often as possible. And thought warbreaker makes you deal more damage so it should be sent first.

Oh dear. I'll go back to the training dummy for this. Thanks.

Colossus AoE Opener:
Charge>Cleave>Tclap>Troar>Sweeping Strikes>Avatar+Warbreaker>Ravager>Stuff to get 10 Colossus Might stacks>Demolish

Wowanalyzer is mostly only set up for single target stuff at the moment - it probably has some incidental application for keys, but I'm pretty sure it just treats the entire key as one really long boss fight
The warbreaker possible casts thing is probably more or less accurate? It does factor AM cdr into the calculated cooldown there but it might not be 100% correct with the downtime between packs. I'm also not sure about the demolish execute CSmash thing with multiple targets - it shouldn't be giving false positives (ie saying you used demolish without CS when you did have CS applied) but I'm not 100% sure on that either
