https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/ABrbm3Fn7KypJqzx Logs yesterday / Floodgate is what im trying to clear for maybe someday the trinket.
Feel free to sift through all logs, as i believe to have fundamental gameplay loop issues that can be fixed.

Take your time, i am thankfull for w/e comes to light honestly

ok starting with blocking:

youre already blocking a good amount, better than most people that ask for advice, at 88%, but this could be higher. Try to be at 90%+.

the part that you need to improve upon is spell blocking. Both Searing Reagent (Rixxa's auto attacks) and Alpha Cannon (from last boss which can also be reflected for damage) can be spell blocked. You did not block any of them. Charged Shot (from War Machines), Charged Shield (from Peacekeepers, which can also be reflected for damage and you should reflect the initial cast to minimize group damage) are also big ones in that particular dungeon. You at least spell blocked Charged Shield 6 times.

i was unaware of that, and learned it today from the list.

like i mentiuoned last night, make sure you have this sheet open, which will help you learn what is spell blockable and what is not. You can access is through here:

#

oh, sorry didnt let you finish

#

if youve looked at it, you can disregard that

#

I wont, its helpful information and a good reminder

as far as the bleeds in ML go, you seem to be doing fine, but having more crit will allow you to parry Taskmaster Askari a lot more. See stats paragraph later on.

Going gearing and into stats:

Craft a shield and craft a weapon. Shield ilvl is important and will provide more block than a hero track shield. Upgrade a gilded crafted shield into Myth whenever you get vault drops. Same thing with a weapon. Craft one, it will help with dps (which means threat) much more than any other slots. These should have been your first two gilded crafts. Please make sure you always max out shield with upgrades first and foremost, its our most important piece.

Once again: Shield > Weapon and Myth > Gilded Crafted > Hero. These are extremely important. Their ilvl is basically the most important part about them, so if they are non-crafted make sure you max them out before anything else

Your stats are fine like i said in the reddit thread, but do try to emphasize crit more than haste when getting myth track pieces/accessories, i.e. high crit + low haste rings like Cauldron's ring or any equivalent. More crit will yield more dps, more threat, and more parry. Simming droptimizer is extremely useful for this as any stat simming higher for dps consequently gives us more undiminished defensiveness. Do keep in mind that with sims, it tries to get you down to 18k haste, so you want to ignore any offset of haste and make sure you at least maintain 20k haste rating so that your SB uptime does not suffer. The bot does not account for human error so 18k is only good with perfect play.

#

ill chime in later on, since busy but the plan is to look at attacks and rage management next

viral axle
#

Okay, wait a second let me check something. Before you are going any deeper

lilac arch
#

oh right you have crafted shield

viral axle
#

And pretty much geared exactly as described

lilac arch
#

you should get weapon next at least

viral axle
#

yes, i sadly intended to play dps so i dumped 4 sparks into 2 handed

#

dont ask, under the rug, regret is my own to bear.

lilac arch
#

we're up to 6.5 sparks, 7 with this next reset

#

so you should have enough

viral axle
#

wait

#

i literally keep stuff for weapon at all times

lilac arch
#

just wait until the vault, if you get a myth 1 hander you might not need to craft it

#

if you don't get a myth weapon, do craft it immediately though

viral axle
#

Ah ye ye

#

thats the plan

#

no Weapon -> Craft

#

Okay im just dumb i thought i missed out on a Spark - back on track now,.

#

I also have to interchange, i started using this after tomorrow to balance out on crit a bit more.

lilac arch
#

yeah dont really worry about gems

#

big crit little haste gems are fine but so are big haste and little crit ones

#

or whatever sims best

#

which can be that one you put in

#

make sure you replace those hero pieces with Myth tracks too

#

helm/chest/legs have the highest stat pool of any item, so they are important after shield, weapon and trinkets

#

same deal on what to upgrade first

viral axle
#

Will follow

lilac arch
#

shield > weapon > trinkets > helm+chest+legs > shoulders+gloves+belt+boots > bracers + cloak > neck + rings

I'm the guy who left a somewhat informal log review on your reddit thread

#

it was unclear from the logs (since they're bugged) but are you pressing Shield Charge on CD?

viral axle
#

Hello :9 Thanks for your ongoing support then.
Yes i usually tend to press SC on CD

#

Since CD is reduced with curent set and all you dont want to keep it

#

i try to use it after grouping the mobs as it hits all in 10 yards range irrc

#

Small update on Vault - 2 Necks, Brewery which i already have and a Crit Mastery one which is lowkey bit meh and Vers Mastery Boots, so i decided for the boots as they were the only real upgrade here on a Track Level.

#

If you want to have more logs, i pretty much load up all dungeons i do. So we should have plenty of material to analyze 🙂

viral axle
#

One small note, i will not start including Swapping from the Armor Mode to the Crit Mode asap when available on the Tome Trinket.

#

To increase the uptime of Crit Buff.

lilac arch
#

@cloud saddle if you have time, can you take a look at these?

lilac arch
cloud saddle
#

This was sent before I went to bed, but I'll look into it. It'll take a bit longer than usual since I'm looking in downtime from watching Combo Breaker, just as a heads up

cloud saddle
#

why do you have immovable object instead of unstoppable force

#

you're actively chosing to drastically reduce the amount of times you press the button Thane is focused on when doing so

#

I don't think that's actually tankier if rocking IO than just playing Colo to rock IO, but it's still kinda awkward to check

#

Since you're losing the advantage Thane has (higher rage gen due to higher number of globals spent on generating rage, meaning for Cd cycling) for the advantage Colo normally has (Long periods of back-to-back defensive CD coverage)

#

You're also casting some of your defensives after you get hit, using Priory as an example. On first boss, all of your spell reflects were popped after you got hit by divine judgment.

Divine Judgment doesn't even have a dot component, so those 3 casts served no purpose

#

Things like that will be the key thing stopping you from pushing higher, as you'll need to properly mitigate the major bursts of damage that are likely to kill a tank.

#

You can play the spec baseline a good bit worse than you are now and still clear higher keys as long as you do that, stop casts, and streamline mechs as much as possible.

#

That will generally be the thing that enables you to do higher keys.
