Hello guys ive been playing warwithin for like one and a half month its my first time playing on the most recent expansion and first time doing M+ dungeons and Raids. As a new player i reached so far 1825 rating. Ive joined my second raid today(first heroic) and we did 2 bossess just wanted some help with my logs to know what im doing good and what bad.(I dont have any M+ logs tho cause i just downloaded this today but here are my M+)

Some low-hanging fruit for you to take a look at, at least from that Vexie log:

  • You're playing mountain thane, which is generally the preferred spec in M+ but not really used in raid outside of Mythic Stix - I don't remember the exact numbers, but it's a few % behind slayer in raid fights like Vexie and Cauldron
  • You delayed your avatar until ~5s, then your second avatar until 1:38, which ultimately meant you didn't get a 4th cast of avatar at 4:30 (which is especially unfortunate because that's when the boss went into another damage amp)
  • Your gear in general is a little wacky, but your item level is pretty low so I assume you're more or less just using what you can get. Aim to farm as many keys as you can, especially with crests being uncapped soon, to get up to 665+ with good secondary stats (fury generally likes mastery and haste) quickly
  • It doesn't look like you're using your cooldowns particularly effectively, and you have pretty significant downtime - not sure if that's from not anticipating where the boss will be moving to, or just not pressing your buttons fast enough, but you can get a lot of free damage by just sticking to the boss like glue and spamming the heck out of your buttons

  1. avatar is one of your major cooldowns, it gives you a hefty damage buff every 90 seconds
  2. you can, but it's not quite as reliable. It'll still give useful info, but you'll have to take it with a grain of salt and think critically about what it's saying
