I just did the first heroic run of the raid (finally found people to actually raid with on heroic.) Looking through my logs my scores are terrible, I see some shortcomings with my cooldown usage and management, but I wouldn't think it would make me worse than 90% of people logging heroic undermine, what am I doing THAT incorrectly?

Next, a LOT of your damage per cast (ignoring how well you did your rotation for now) comes from your stats - but more importantly from the actual weapon damage of your two weapons. You had a 649 mainhand and 645 offhand weapon on your stix fight. Just crafting a weapon for 60 gilded crests will give you a MASSIVE increase. I heavily recommend getting that done, given that you just came back to the game. Weapons are generally the largest upgrade for us warriors.

as for your opener - this opener is not what we're supposed to do in season 2. This opener reminds me of season 1 fury. It's changed now.

wowhead has a very simple icon showcase of the optimal opener.
Put into words:
start of combat (important that you dont initialize combat) > recklessness (so charge gives more rage) > charge > avatar > rampage (you will have 80 rage if done correctly and quickly enough, you want to rampage so you enrage ASAP) > bladestorm > raging blow as often as possible up to 5 times while enraged (you will sit at 130 rage after bladestorm and you're NOT supposed to rampage. You want to combine Brutal Finish (passive talent from the slayer tree) with as many stacks of slaughtering strikes (passive talent node) as possible. Once you essentially run out of raging blows to cast, you send a fat buffed up rampage followed by thunderous roar (the button is bad enough to be this late in the ST opener)

This following picture is your casts during your one-armed bandit fight. you have severe uptime issues. Avoid holes in your uptime as much as possible. If you get a mechanic (e.g. mugzee frost boots) then you're doomed to play out the mechanic, it happens, but that will never explain gray logs

Fix these up a lil bit and you'll already improve A LOT.

imo you need more "general awareness" of what you're doing while fighting. I've encountered a lot of people with similar logs who either panic while fighting bosses or they simply dont care enough to improve while fighting bosses. Given that you do care, I'd say you should probably practice raidfights (go into normal for example, even if ur ID locked alrdy) just to practice your "fight awareness" lets say. Actively thinking about how to maximize uptime during the fight will go a long way for you @surreal parrot
