You’d have a lot of misses and parries. And that would leave to some rage starvation. You’d get some big flurries now and then but not enough to be sustainable u less you’re always grouped with a shaman for windfury.

Eskhander is Main Hand, and you'd use it main hand anyway since you're not actually looking at weapon speed, you're looking at weapon damage.
Anyway, duel wield. Hell, you may as well just use Eskhander's instead of the 2h because Unbridled Wrath and Flurry will churn out more dps.

If you can bait a mages blink without using intercept. You could be in good hands.
But the one thing about beating mages is being able to have a FAP right after their ice block. Once you get through barrier. 3-4 hits and they are dead from the warrior.
Cuz the typical play is Ice block goes down they nova-blink-poly.
But like the folks above me said. a good mage can beat a great warrior. a great mage doesnt let the warrior get more than 1 hit on them.

I dicked around in each expansion for like a month, but I was born in 1999 so I just messed around in open world and only was at expansion cap like once or twice, until I started playing again in late WoD.
So it's really interesting comparing all of the similar but at the same time very different designs of Warrior and the specs
The talents in particular feel so alien in Cata, even though I remember looking at talents in Cata.
So many things have changed over time, but it's fun to see where a lot of names and icons originated from, and how much those have changed.
Like where Rampage started and where it ended.
Anywho.
So, it pretty much came down to numbers, then?
Like it wasn't a choice in the same way that Arms and Fury being roughly balanced ends up being an aesthetic choice in how you want your gameplay to feel in addition to a few pros and cons.
I'm asking this stuff, btw, because Blizz is really emphasizing player choice and player freedom at their panels, and they're talking about returning to Class+Spec over Specs-as-classes.
So I'm experimenting with design concepts for how to retain as much of the current spec gameplay while creating an underlying class layer that the specs add onto.
And one thing I wanted to look at, since it was something I didn't know much about, was the history of Titan's Grip.
But it sounds to me like it was rarely a choice, and it was mostly aesthetics since it just came down to numbers, not real gameplay feel like the choice in Classic between 2H Arms and DW Fury.
(Although I know the meta is 2H Arms while leveling, DW Fury after you get enough hit and crit)

Titan’s grip was game changing imo. That’s when I adopted fury on my warr and never looked back. Looks good. Does a ton of damage and has the fast elements of fury vs slowness of arms. 2hand fury slam build was good on alliance, great on horde. And no longer had to fight rogues and tanks for weapons.

Weapon Chain on Demonshear is fine. Using Death Grip if you don’t have might gloves, flameguard or stronghold is also fine with Crusader on Demonshear instead. Crusader isn’t expensive or big investment for Demonshear either considering it is the best pvp weapon that drops from a dungeon. Generally speaking I think Crusader for pre-BG pvp is irrelevant. Your choice is basically conceding 100 str proc vs buying stronghold. And buying stronghold if you have might gloves or flameguard doesn’t seem like a wise investment short term.

Solo? Grind mobs that are a green. Ideally you are skinner/herbalist though. You can earn more gold focusing beasts (selling leather directly to vendor or if you bother with AH) and picking up herbs near where you grind.

On paper, for pvp, BRE is better than SR for sure. 16 stamina, 1% crit on top of enabling sword spec beats axe spec and SR proc any day. The armor reduction is just icing on the cake. 20rage on kill sounds amazing but it is only every 10 seconds. Even if you are generous and assume you are able to proc it every 10s consistently it evens out to 2 rage per second or 120 rage per minute. In a pvp context its not likely you'll be able to get full mileage. That being said it still a solid weapon especially at these early gear levels when the 5% crit from axe provide relatively more than it will be later on when more gear is available. Question is if SR drops, you can get it 100 %, do you pass and hope BRE drops later? And even if BRE is the better weapon long term do you care if you have a SR?

i do recommend having points in improved slam if you are going 2h fury for raids
if you arent the shout bitch, you can take points from improved bshout, or you can take points from bloodcraze/howl/execute
you can also take a point from imp OP and put it in 2h specialty
unfortunately there isnt a great build that is hybrid raid and pvp, you'll have to sacrifice in some ways

Vaedio consider a guild that raids every other week on mon Tuesday. We cleared ony and mc in under three hours last night. And cleared it the night before now we can pvp for almost two weeks till we buff up to do it again.
We will obviously do split ony next Monday but they do t require raid spec for it far as I know.

i'm stuck rocking 9% in order to 2h fury still. Dps is great if I have wf, but the shamans in my guild fail horrribly at putting it down. Not to mention healers let us tick out and die. Been so frustrating. I want to dual box raid, my shamans guild has rag on farm super fast and easy and I've already got half my bis in two nights. Warrior has nothing, keep losing rolls. So no wf means my damage is piss poor, makes me want to make the swap to dw but at same time I like my build. On majordomo I ticked out, was still number one because 2h fury cleaves like mad, and I was dead last minute or more of fight and still didn't get surpassed in damage. I swapped daggers one fight for execute range, was about to pop into number one and I ripped aggro. I literally die every other pull on trash without even ripping aggro or standing in the wrong places. Was ready to go afk last night. magmadar I used a gfpp...... and still ticked out, not standing in fire either, was placed on me back to back. got heals while gfpp held for a little, still died. I mean it's painful, I had ony buff and I came in and lose it within 15 seconds of a boss fight, and all consumes.
for reference my shaman is enhance, and i was able to hold ony buff through onyxia and mc until it faded a little before we finished, so I'm in melee and know how to not be stupid.

Hi guys, one question: should I use Satyr's Bow or Blackcrow? They have the same stats (3 agility + 1% hit) but Blackcrow is slower (3.2) and does more dmg per hit, whilst Satyr's Bow is faster (2.4) and does less dmg per hit. I am thinking that Satyr's Bow is better because I can pull faster but Blackcrow does more damage on ranged pulls so does it generate more threat on pull?

Has anyone tested the viability of Deathbringer MH, Perdition's Blade OH? Also, I've seen some recent lists on wowhead claiming Perd blade is a BIS option for MH, apparently outranking Viskag and Deathbringer too. I don't follow this logic at all, can someone weigh in? I currently have the Deathbringer MH, Perdition's Blade OH combo and have to rock 9% hit as a human which doesn't feel good.
I also have Obsidian Edged Blade and have tried rocking the 2hand fury for fights like Ony which hasn't been terrible. Just wondering if I still need to go after BIS swords if I want the best performance or if Axes/Daggers are viable given I have the plus hit or weapon skill

yea, if you read more closely, I said I was using Perd in my OH. I was noting that I saw in WoWHead that apparently someone (idk who wrote the guides to be honest) itemized Perd Blade MH over Vis'kag and other MH weapons that have long been considered BIS. Was just looking for the communities feedback to see if maybe itemization changed something with phase 2 pvp gear. It's possible that they're focusing on rage gen and maximizing the damage of bloodthirst and execute since neither of those abilities are based off of weapon damage but AP and Rage alone. Just a thought.

You want to know the best dungeon grind spec? It's 21 arms 30 fury using a 2hander. That was my build until this week when I wanted to make sure I was top dps every fight. I would crush anyone and everyone in dungeons with that dungeon build that with a ghetto 2hander. Granted I have wf, even without it was strong, with wf it was ungodly, Would double the damage of the second persons overall dps pretty much every run. And in UBRS be over 200 dps higher overall than most all the retards. It stomps on straight arms for dungeons. but it's shit in pvp, at least arms you can do both.
I'm thinking i'll half afk in bgs, or possibly respec arms if i join a mon/tue guild, and respec for raid. Going to dual box in bg anyways for the rep grind, sit on towers and give myself windfury.

Got edgemasters, 9% hit(can get it up to 11%) currently axe is in mh, wondering if i switch weapons so i benefit more from human racial + edgemasters on mh ? Also, would it be beneficial to go for 11% hit, for more auto attack hits?

Weapon skill will effect glancing though. Humans and orcs gain +5 weapon skill from racials, putting them at .85% glancing blow damage from the getgo. With an extra 7 points, that glancing blow damage is .9742 of a regular white strike. While not as pronounced ass the first 7 points, this is still a 12.4% increase in glancing blow damage. You would need to really test a lot of this but I think edgemasters are the best gloves in the game for any race until Gauntlets of Annihilation.

Been using a 2hander but looking at DW now that I’m 60 and gearing up. Have hammer of the vesper as MH. Would rivenspike (axe) be better oh or Thrash blade (sword)? Spike is very slow and more dps but blade works for human racial.

Sup guys, I was wondering something about tank build. I enjoy tanking dungeons but im more of a pvp'er then a pve'er so i respec'ed from deep prot into fury/prot build like althought im still getting wrecked by everything in 1v1 wpvp situation. Notice that i'm a fresh lvl 60 with some pre-bis tank gear. I was wondering if I should re-spec again but into arms/prot instead to be able to pvp and tank 5-man content?

question for those more experienced with classic theorycrafting. I'm human but our guild has had horrible luck with sword drops. So I was able to get a Deathbringer and CHT pretty cheap DKP wise and since we have seen 0 viskag and only 1 Brut in over two months I took what I could get and grabbed edgemasters. What I'm trying to figure out is if I can get Flameguard gaunts if going back to Dalrend's set is better or not, or should I just stick with edgemaster until I can replace both weapons?
or would Flameguards + OEB as 2H fury be better than DB + CHT + Edgemaster's?
Also, anyone know what the rough relative value of hit% is past the softcap relative to say crit%? I know crit% is better, but how much better? Would you take 2% hit over softcap vs 1% crit? Saw a fury win band of accuria and I'm guessing it's because hit% still has decent value past soft cap but I wasn't sure how much.

Now im 51 and starting to pay attention to pre raid BIS - Due to me having the gloves, I'm assuming I should disregard getting the two piece devilsaur ? My only worry is hit rating id lose out on, but looking around it seems as if I can easily make it up elsewhere?

according to research started during Classic's beta, TheKrugLife's statement is correct (i.e. 305 weapon skill effectively lowers your hit cap from 9% to 6%), cp. the "Hit cap" table here.
first 5 points are biggest, but next 5 to 310 is effectively +5%

I think it was established above that the first +5 points gives you 3% and the next 10 points gives you 1%. So if you have the +5 from racial, then the +7 you get from edgemasters is effectively useless.
