@untold igloo fwiw, full Prot is actually pretty fun in PvP; a MT build won't be 100% suited to it, but 95% still carries over
Good WSG flag runner, AV tank, solo defender in AB, lots of stuns, shield slam dispels, shield bash silence, and just generally tanky and annoying
Serious PvP is ruled by groups anyway, and while everyone wants to be the DPS hero, a strong tank who can harass and lock down other players is an integral part of successful teams

@olive barn if all you're worried about is getting hit in the face and holding threat, you're fine and don't really need to change stances; just spam demo/revenge or occasional sunder, and auto-attack the last mob to pool rage for the next pack - no charge required
you won't do much in the way of damage compared to DPS tanking, but it's not like you can't finish dungeons

@charred moat What Deathmuffin said, if you're Alliance you can get Bonebiter easily at 38+; as for whether WW axe is worth it before that, yes absolutely, but you'll have a real hard time doing it any earlier, as the Arathi Elementals are ~38
That said, you can buy those charms off the AH if they're cheap, and the STV trolls are a lot easier to farm on your own; as long as you can find someone to help you kill the 40 elite at the end, it's a viable way to get the axe early without too much trouble

At low levels the rage gen feels better because all you really have to spend rage on is HS
At high levels it still feels good, but you're getting much weaker instant (OP, WW, MS if you specced arms for some reason) hits out of it
I'm not saying you can't do it - it's a video game, do whatever makes you happy, particularly while leveling which isn't exactly competitive content
just pointing out the obvious downsides and reasons why most of the "serious" players don't recommend it

if 2 weapons have the exact same damage all a faster swing speed does is generate more rage

viable, but not always sustainable - I'd still recommend you hamstring runners; at the very least it can proc overpower or deep wounds (which will also help kill low health runners)

@charred terrace unless you have a healer, or are fighting completely trivial mobs, +3% crit isn't really worth the downtime of +10% damage taken
and outside of some AoE situations (in which you're generally starting off in battle stance anyway) you should never really be pooling rage past 25/30, so if you want to utilize Berserker Stance, the better way is to simple change to it right before using WW (or whatever ability tickles your fancy), then back to Battle

depends on how many targets you have, but dps that just go ham as soon as you pull are typically going to pull off you, not really anything you can do about that

if there's only one target, yeah you can kind use Revenge and Sunder, with multiple, you mostly want to spam demo (and revenge is still good to use when you can), maybe sunder if there's a main target everyone is focusing
@charred terrace if you already have mortal strike, stop using rend, only hamstring runners, and prio MS > WW (which, unless you're getting pounded by multiple mobs with BzR up, you'll very rarely ever have the rage to use both on CD) on ST/WW > MS when multiple

on the bright side, outside of bosses or higher level (~50+) dungeons, tanking is more about dealing damage than actually holding threat, which is one of the reasons you want a 2h; virtually anyone can "tank" at that level
you're mostly just killing shit before it kills you (or rather, before your healer runs oom and you die)

Yeah Ravager is nice, but whether you have it or not, basically the way you "tank" stuff with a 2h is by blasting damage into it - Charge -> SS -> WW -> TC -> Demo Spam/WW

@charred terrace TC is extra mitigation and actually good multitarget DPR at lower levels, you don't have to use it, but there's really no reason not to maintain it if you're at all worried about incoming damage
There's a lot of shit you "can" do slightly differently; throw a cleave in for more damage, spam Demo for more threat, switch to sword and board after your initial AoE if you really want more mitigation, whatever - the overall gist is still pretty well clear

its awful when warrior reality hits you. I spammed a bunch of melee cleave dungeon spam groups. Hitting over 400 dps on each 4-5 mobs pull in SM Cathedral.... Then you go and try questing... alone... and you realise ur struggling to kill a mob because u got used to the insane amount of dps with infinite rage and windfury procs

Hi, quick question, I've been looking around levelling talents etc, but it seems all guides are written with the sitcrit possibility in mind. Aside from trying to get flurry, it seems enrage and blood craze are quite useless talents, is that so or am I mistaken?
I can see that the pinned guides here are also more arms-focused, so it seems like I should respec to arms as well.
