Generally people don't talk about it because it's extremely rare and it's proc chance is unknown, you're talking about dalrends which is the sword set from rend in UBRS, pretty good but they can be replaced with the weapons from onyxia.

Levelling is a small amount of time compared to the time you'd spend at 60
And if you have any interest is raid tanking warrior is the safest option, druids are used but usually only one and paladins...well yeah.

Theres a couple points you can wiggle around, like the revenge talent which is very nice in dungeons or anticipation which can be dropped in dungeons
Earlier on you will want to go more defensive but as you get more gear you can start building for more threat

if you put those 15 points in prot all into avoidance/mitigation talents (which you really shouldn't because that's a waste of points) it will give you 1.2% avoidance, 10% armor and 5% block chance
assuming you don't put them all into avoidance/mitigation and take actually useful talents it's even less than that

It also depends. If you have dedicated peeps to spam dungeons with, you'll all develop a better sense of what to do with each other and who in your group performs better as their class. Tanks are slow af solo tho unless youre a pally in wpl/epl aoe grinding

btw the reason sit/stand to proc enrage works is because of how spell batching works - only the application of the damage is delayed until the next batch tick but the attack table roll happens immediately, so if you're sitting when the mob auto swing timer runs it rolls a 100% crit, then you stand up and because it's a self action it happens immediately, then you receive the damage when you're standing and enrage procs because reactive procs like enrage only activate when you actually receive the damage
basically sitting/standing is a self-action so it's not spell batched, only actions taken upon another unit are batched (like the mob hitting you)
so if you stand just in the the right time (after the attack table roll happened but before the batch tick that applied the damage happened) you'll proc enrage

So, I've generally not been looking into Classic too much, I know the phases and that it's based on 1.12. I seem to have this memory from when I was playing that as a Fury Warrior you always wanted to aim for a faster off hand weapon rather than dmg, which is why a lot of fury warriors went for daggers in off hand. Now I'm reading that in 1.12 the Rage regen was based on dmg dealt which would make this not AS true.
Probably not the first to ask about this. But what is the situation with rage regen as Fury? Was this change in a later patch in Vanilla and I just don't remember or am I completely misremembering?

attack speed/rage generation were normalized to an extent. Your rage generation is smoother with fast weapons (which is why tanks still prefer them in dungeons and shit, since having more reliable resources improves ability to react to shit), but overall the same amount as the slower weapons. As a fury warrior, the better stats/dps will trump the weapon speed.
Better burst comes from slow weapons since you lose less swing timer when switching mobs and frontload slightly more damage at the start of fights. Particularly with the "chance to swing an extra time" stuff.
But as far as the best weapons go, they're the best weapons because of stats and high DPS (and in horde's case, Axe weapon type for orcs), not speed concerns

In a raid setting you shouldn't be low health that often, orc is by far the strongest race for warrior dps
Tauren might edge them out due to the 5% stam, but the most important thing for tanking in classic is threat gen, so orc would be fine for that too
