Hey guys was wondering I travel for business so i'm always trying to keep my home and laptop UI the same and coping back and forth between the two. (Mythic Opulence) I was wondering if someone could help make the following:
Show a weak aura when thief's bane has less than 7 seconds left, and shadow-touched is less than the theif's bane timer (so you can call for a healer to give you shadow-touched with some buffer for reaction time etc).

I do not want it to show up if shadow-touched is greater than Thief's bane timer remaining.

I tried making it myself - debuff remaining =< 7 seconds for both, but it shows when Theif's Bane has 1 second left, and 6sec shadow touched remaining.

Icon => Engine one.
Show Cooldown => True
Trigger1 => Recklessness CD < 12sec remaining
Trigger2 => Recklessness CD >7sec remaining
Trigger3 => Item Cooldown of RAGE => off cooldown
"Dynamic Information from Trigger 1"

Will show you the engine icon with the remaining Reck CD on it starting from 12s reck cd down to 7s reck cd.

2.) Desaturated CD while not active.

Out of combat:
1.) Shows saturated active time while active.

That's not on ElvUI, that is basegame. There are 2 cvars you can edit for that, nameplateOverlapH and nameplateOverlapV. Adjust those. You can use Advanced Interface Options (addon) for that or run a script with /run SetCVar("nameplateOverlapH", 1) replacing the 1 with whatever value you want. Just play around a bit. I think like 0.5 is a good start?

@uncut dragon It's more or less a blizzard thing.
There's no actual way to track whether or not a spell is reflectable. So you have to do some workarounds to get that to work, and unfortunately sometimes it will pop up when it shouldn't. That's because it checks if the boss is targeting you when a spell cast begins, and sometimes the boss will start casting and then switch targets.

@gritty forge Just my opinion but it's a little cluttered. There's a lot of information that's large that doesn't seem to add value:

Damage numbers, consider the amount of space they're taking up and what they actually provide you. I'd recommend something like nsct and keep the font smaller.
Likewise with the damage taken numbers, potentially useful but seems over large. Your health bar potentially covers this "information" as well. How often are you really looking at these numbers during the fight?
A lot of your UI is in the middle third (horizontally) of your screen which is where most of the things in game you'll need to pay attention to. I think this is kind of represented by the size of the weak auras you have for Necrotic, it needs to be that large to draw your attention to it because there's sooo much going on in that third.
Maybe condense your Quest Log/ Mythic timer and get something like gottagofast which you can place anywhere (idealy not in that middle third)
I really don't like the models on the party frames, they're so small that the model isn't really "nice to look at" combined with all the role symbols etc, seems unnecessary
Maybe drop your player unitframes down as well, they're large enough that they don't really need to be in the middle third.

I generally go by:
Middle third of screen - only absolutely crucial information
Bottom and top - slightly larger scale useful information and everything else

It currently only checks via zone id, range checks are rather expensive on the cpu if you don't use an external library.

I could add it optionally when people have the HeroLib installed I guess but not sure if that's worth it 🤔

What I could do is add a slight glow around the icons when you are capable of using the spell and are in range of a person that needs it.

And put that behind an option again so you can leave it off if you don't like the cpu implication

Either run that as a macro or put it in a weakaura in the onload, that would trigger it every login so you don't need to care about hitting a macro.

Is there any way you can measure how much performance addons are taking up? Like if you have a TON of weakauras making your wow instance spike in RAM for example? Got a friend with a 2.5k euro one year old comp lagging more than me on my 5 year old comp

@cinder sand GetSpellCooldown gives you 3 values: The start time (or 0 if the spell is off cd), the duration (the max CD) and a third field that is only interesting for spells you "activate" but that only go on cooldown once they are "used" (like shadowmeld etc.)

@uncut dragon you might have a trigger on the WA for Siegebreaker that is only triggered on certain "truths" make sure your auras are set properly (if you made that WA set) and on the SB one if it is multiple make sure "Any trigger can activate" if you have multiple on it

For anyone having the same issue as I did above, solution is 2 cvar settings when you log in every time. Setting cannot be set thru elv atm :(. Settings are nameplateOccludedAlphaMult and nameplateMinAlpha. Set both to 1 and all nameplates will be fully visible whther u are targeting them or not

WA's are great for tracking many things. Just look around on https://wago.io/weakauras/classes/warrior

#

You can also do it by making a simple WA from template. New - From Template - whatever you want your WA to be - Buffs - Enrage - Show only if buffed, or whatever option you want and then you can customize it however you want.

I don’t think you really need Omen, since there is little chance you’ll ever get aggro, except on Skittish affix.
You are tracking your buffs twice and the Enrage buff even three times. You can probably get rid of the bars, since they don’t matter much.
Damage Meter can be put to the top left corner, you most likely never look there during combat and you gain more visual space around your character.
Just some personal input on what I’d improve if it was my UI 🙂
