Hey there, looking for some help with a weak aura. I'm using one that hides Ignore Pain below 60 rage, and appears/glows over 60 rage. I've been trying to incorporate a condition to have the icon stop glowing when I hit capped IP so I won't waste rage. I haven't had much luck since I'm not very good at the code. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd recommend going to wago.io and within the website is a category section for every class and specs within. Hit up the fury section and just find a set that you feel will work well for you from the looks (I dont usually import any without screenshots, beause yeah) . its pretty easy to just copy the import string and then import in game. et voila

theres just no reason not to use elvui at this state in the game, when big patches hit, its updated fast so ur not waiting for all ur addons
if u dont want it to "look like everyone else cuz they all use elvui" its easy to customize to where it dosnt
and weakauras replace most addons alltogether
sure as time goes on u can add other addons and disable the functions in elvui, but having it as a base is just so sensible

@vocal glacier there are lots of ways to achieve that. Common one is to create a group of auras, and one is a rage bar that enables when condition rage=100. make its color different or give it a sound queue and give it top priority among the group

@brittle knot No probs mate, feel free to ask away. I do have a feature in there for myself to look at post fight (when I can pause etc..) down the bottom right corner with the meters. Itβs a live feed of the abilities I use. So you can pair it up with UI features or see where mistakes are made to approve myself

@sacred maple You can get "Badboy" which takes away any gold sellers and spam. Still keeps trade chat and guild recruitment posts though. It might have custom things you can add in to ignore - but I find default settings have kept me sane π

But Fonts from Addons are different, they must include "Interface\AddOns\AddonName\FontName"
And you may also need to SetFontObject instead of SetFont, Fonts are annoying to work in WoW.

^ wrong. TMW is basically the same as WA. Hell, it's far easier to setup things like buffs/cooldowns on the same icon via meta icons, which includes entire APLs if you're into that. WA is good for the extreme, lua writing side of things... But again, that can be done in TMW too. Long story short, WA just became more popular.

Far worse in what sense? & I guess you're correct on that being opinion, but I can honestly say from having switched from WA ages ago to TMW it's so much easier personally to make profiles for alts/friends (of which I do a lot, I get bored and make APLs for the hell of it). Making a buff/cooldown in a single icon via meta is much more intuitive

the reason to use wa over tmw is that you can do everything with a wa that tmw can do, and everyone makes weakauras. There are a ton of boss specific weakauras that people make
if you plan on never doing anything other than simple buff tracking then yea use whatever you want

Weakaura Question: Can you put a stack count for a different debuff in the icon for one debuff, specifically I am talking about an icon I have for Sargeras' Fear and I want to have a stack count of the debuff it gives when the fear is screwed up called "Crushing Fear" I believe, as stacks in that icon without making another WA. Although I guess I could just do that but I want to avoid bloating Weakauras, also makes it harder to move around the UI

I have a WA for rampage, that below 85 fury it is grayed, at 85 it goes to normal color, then at 100 it glows. I also want it to glow on Massacre procs but can't figure out how to make that happen.

@foggy ledge lil late here, but elvui is really useful only because it's one complete package. It doesn't use any less resources than addons which will do similar functions, and strictly speaking most addons won't use enough memory to matter anyway (the exception being weak auras, and even then only when using the options interface)
Elvui has a lot of options, so you can customize it away from the default, but it doesn't do anything that other addons can't do as well, it's just easier for non-power users to do so
