So I haven't kept up to date with news around the artifact-weapon and how you're going to be able to transmog other weapons into artifact appearences. Is there some sort of questline that you need to do in Legion (or perhaps BfA?) or is it something else entirely?

So the drop down menu to change a mace to a sword for example will have an extra option called 'legion artifacts'. You can select it there. BUT you can't mix and match i.e. use slayer of the lifeless and then the artifact shield. It comes as a pair.
