Reason I used the Celestial Tabard was the pants of the Tyrannical set have a dark blue cloth like look near the belt line. Closest dark blue I could get without making my own tabard was the Celestial one. The Darkspear matches the weapons more, I agree.

A lot of things are messed up on armor this pre-patch. Tabards disable 3D chest elements like ToV plate, Highmountain Tauren Heritage armor. Pauldrons of Sacrifice are a completely different color now

I like the color, but I know many people prefer the older design. They could have the gold color be a drop from Island Expeditions like many other recolors that they've added as drops. Pre-patch loves to make a mess for transmog.
