i have made a new mog in a theme lime green combined with rust brown color, looks very brutal

here's a transmog I consider somewhat a failed attempt. I thought the head/shoulder comebination was great but the colour variants were quite different it was very difficult trying to balance the red tones throughout the set. Didn't turn out great but I don't think I could have done it better.

and legion also opens a possibility to create a decent mog around the set you have shoulders from, but with the dark+gold scheme

what fascinated me about the shoulder/head combination were the similarities between them despite being from different sets, the spikes on the items have very similar shapes, they both have green gems attatched to them and they're both red

I disagree, the head is more important because it's sort of like a facial expression, if the headpiece makes the character look dull, silly, funny or goofy it's impossible to make the rest of the set make the character look vicious or evil

what I think sort of stands out in this black/red transmog is that I found a very good combination between the chest and the legs getting some red cloth into the set making it a little more dynamic
on your point regarding the shoulders being important. Yes I agree they're really important. The thing is you can make a lot of different shoulders work well in transmogs, you're much more limited with the helmets I found. The helmets are what really limit you.

But I'm aware by experience that if you only make transmog that have a consistent theme you are quite limited in what you can create and that's not always fun either

i think even if i decided to change the theme and find a boney designed item, it would be possible only for shoulders or weapon, the only working shoulders i can think of are pvp shoulders from a set the head is from or the fel shoulders from hellfire citadel mythic for warrior
i dont agree on the part where it works better on something much less armored, because this theme is more about a full armored being that has no living person inside

this is what im working on currently, i love the shoulder shape, layers and animation, what i hate is the out of place gems, so i tried to connect it via headpiece red thing, chest red gem and the axes with reddish and blue glow, out of those jewels/glow the mog should look very durable and layered plate with parts where its losing color after intense usage
in the outfit window the shoulders look coloured out of place but in the actual game it looks much better
the shoulders you use on your brutal bone white orc work instantly with this armor but they feel too small to connect with the centurion helmet
