On the other hand versa doesn't look that bad tbh, you do big damage still, a bit less than TD but it's consistent and it's tied to you pressing buttons, not to you being rng lucky, and you don't take damage either way

Uptime over the course of the dungeon is bad to look at. You care about maintaining uptime when taking physical damage and that is a number that’s hard to find/calculate
Just focus on having shield block up when tanking mobs

It's still a good identifier of you doing shitty in most cases but it's not a good measure of your level of success. e.g. if I have 20% Shield Block uptime, I know I suck. But I can also have 60% Shield Block uptime and 40% of that uptime was when I wasn't taking any blockable damage.
In which case I still suck but if I don't dig deeper, I don't necessarily know I suck
That's why we recommend logs and looking at % of blocked hits on the logs

Well, if you're doing 24+ keys and he's running C&S major, then he may not be using Shield Block as much? Don't need to press it if you aren't being hit, and it's pretty easy not to be hit if you're rooting the mobs every second

Btw, in workshop this week you gotta pull a robot in the bridge leading to king mechagon. Would you pull with the gnomes for the shield they provide, or solo, considering that in pugs more often than not the shield is blown up

How is the shield blown up? You literally have to target it to kill it
If pugs are killing the shield then I would pull it alone because you already have a tinkerer to deal with so adding more damage doesn't seem smart
But if you can convince them to not be stupid, pull him with the first pack so you can use the shield to trivialize short out/arcing zap
