Using any major defensive CD as a reactive panic button instead of prior is an immense waste of resources and something you really need to get prepared not to do. The difference between hitting a mitigation tool after taking a large hit or prolonged series of hits and before is more than just the sum of the damage you're then mitigating to stay alive. It's effectively using your AM toolkit after taking damage but to the Nth degree. Last stand especially is something you need to be prepared to weave in since it's a free extra length shield block provided you massive uptime on shield block itself.
The concept of using your large CDs prior to taking damage is something for every single tank but it's doubly true for warrior with the benefit provided every other second by anger management.

taunt swaps make it much much much easier to have an effective 100% sb uptime

its for a much higher uptime of Avatar (you can chain 2 back to back with 2 IT1's outside lucid), more SR's in the window it lowers the cd of SB ~5-6s
so its the single most potent defensive combo (for corruptions) in right now
and also has the benefit of being really really strong offensively as well
