guys I was running a motherlode +18 with my warrior, was using Conflict and strife as main, VoP, Aegis, SoW as minors but the third boss was very painful to overcome even with the LPS 470

definitely don't need to use null as a major, some people do hearth out to swap to NS but it's not necessary. Just be sure you're reflecting every second chemical burn, don't use SB defensively and just use IP, rotate defensives and communicate with your healer

Ok, so.
First of all - it's a game, so people can do w/e they want obviously.

Now that's out of the way - what will help you reach all 18s in time faster is class/dungeon knowledge.
TD will give you a massive DPS boost - i'm only running TD 4 currently and it was 14k DPS from it - this however obviously doesn't do anything for your survivabilitiy.
Vers on the other hand will amp your damage & survivability both.
The thing is that in sub 20 keys (even 20-23 keys) the damage intake just is not big enough to warrant you going full out Versatility corruptions over things like TD.
Not to mention that you would need a solid amount of base versatility from gear to actually make the Vers corruptions work.

Will you have a "higher winrate" in running TD over Vers in +18 keys? Idk - impossible to answer since it comes down to your class/dungeon knowledge + your group being solid.

Ranged DPS stand in weird places..e.g infront of the path you are taking meaning that the spiders will block you in.

I used to tell party to stack on kr entrance first

and then proceed from that spot

Ideal way I like to do that boss is tank it where it stands nuke to sub 50% then start moving once too many puddles

You don't let spider touch you, don't get a puddle

Do you find yourself in situations where you would die or burden your healer without LSP?

like in fh when i did 3pack pull it saved my life (because i haven't had avatar or any cd available, pulling big one after one wasn't the best idea) and usually it's good stuff for my healer to make his life a bit easier

You can practice your tanking skills while using the trinket. You mentioned going into a 3x pack without any CDs, thats something to work on, cooldown managment.
