Since every platform but the first the next demo doesn't spawn until you engage the gripping, you can technically save the most time by lusting the first platform to avoid demo spawns, but that can only be achieved if you have high enough burst(typically requires a fire mage) to nuke the gripping before first demo. If you don't people lust the 2nd platform after demo is dead to ensure no more demos spawn there and since the fight is over on last platform after cannon is shot you can use stuns, etc to delay demo shinigans long enough so you don't care if you get extra hence no lust
