I have a 475 overclocking bit band. Am i safe to commit to corrupting and socketing it even if it means using a 465 logic loop vs a 475 other ring? Mainly worried about 22+ keys. I'm just worried that the proc is a trap given one of the rings doesn't have heavy haste and 475 haste/verse and or haste/crit would be better in long run.

Hey all, brand new to prot warrior coming over from the land of blood dk with a mediocre io score (2.5k), and I have no idea what i'm doing. How should I prioritize ignore pain vs. shield block? I mained prot pally for the first few raid tiers, swapped to blood for nyalotha, and we had sotr as our active mitigation, but it seems like prot warrior has 2 sotr equivalents? and for magic damage, say, second il'gynoth hit that was absolutely destroying me, or big raid boss hits, are those blockable? or should i use spell reflect and a cd type thing for them

you'll need to cycle cds or externals for things like ilgy beam

Uptime is not a great metric to look at. You want to make sure that you have it up any time you're being hit whenever possible. % of blocked hits (which can only be seen on logs) is the important metric.

It's unlikely you'll hit 166% haste on a consistent basis. More haste is better for both survival and offensive purposes, but there's no haste requirement. When you don't have Shield Block available, you can use Last Stand to cover gaps. If you have neither, you can stun/kite or use Shield Wall

But the vast majority of people seeking help in here are having fundamental issues as it is, so adding an active essence that they have to worry about using properly makes no sense. So we suggest VoP.

lucid gets a lot better when you're running very structured routes where you're running huge pulls on a schedule a la MDI
and it also gets a lot better in live keys when you're running with a fire mage because it helps you do huge pulls every time they have bust

And to Naowh's point, he was saying that huge pulls are not the only reason to run Lucid. It also provides a lot more control over your survivability because a large part of Avatar's strength is Bastion, and with Avatar procs, you're getting a very weak Bastion. Lucid allows you to have very high concurrent Avatar uptime but also very high concurrent FULL Bastion uptime
