What are the best stats for prot besides ilvl, Haste > Versa > Crit and Mastery?

in order of how often you're likely to use them if you're focused on M+
CnS and Lucid have the highest prio to buy from the vendor due to how time gated they are

ah well VoP, CnS, Lucid and Str should be the priority to obtain. Things like sphere and aegis are decent placeholder minors until you get CnS and Lucid. VoP should be 1st prio (just spam a few +2 workshops and you'll get it in like an hour)
they are defensive trinkets

and the only trinket comparable thats a "tank" trinket is LSP

this week you can flip in Sphere in place of lucid for the 30% slow, or in place of Str if you don't need the resistance

The whole Vers thing comes down to - are you dying/taking too much damage while playing properly? If yes, then optimize for a more defensive build including versatility. There is no "magic point" when you HAVE to go for Versatility.
The more base vers you have from your gear the better for the corruptions.

the biggest problem with CnS is amount of =>30% slows in most keys you will run
if you run somewhere around 15-18, you will see a lot of assa rogues, frost mages and other specs with strong snares that will simply break CnS root
and it is totally normal
running fire in keys where everything dies quick is totally inting for example
and frost becomes the obvious choice for people
also you can just leap out since your threat is overwhelming already
