Aegis is a good sub in for Conflict and strife, but in general its not nearly as good, since you need to be in combat with 6 targets for it to be AS GOOD as other essences... which requires playing around it and pulling mobs into bosses

Null is great in raid because the high amount of magic damage means its always valuable, and being consumed on CD gives you a hefty boost to ST dps. even in the most magic damage heavy dungeons over 80% of the damage profile is physical... so its losing a lot of value, not being consumed regularly, and due to how infrequently its consumed and it not saling into AOE (like stat essences will) the damage component is kinda limp-dicked as well

so both of those are kinda niche picks compared to the other 4 minor choices

Personally id roll with Scale. Vial would pump more but i find it annoying to use manually
