VoP major / CnS/Lucid/Warden is a solid start for essences.
It's still strong even in m+.
It has a fairly low CD compared to other absorb trinkets and the "bonus part" of it applies to when you're also inside the Obelisks so you can for example use it to soak the tank buster hit.

Humming+vita is a very good choice, that will beat torment in keys because it plays into your class offensives and defensive because of AM instead of just being raw dmg like torment
Urchin isn't being played anymore due to it being low ilvl
Especially at 10-15s you should not have any issues with surviving if you're playing properly

@hushed cobalt I was messing around with big red button a while ago, and found it very nice to macro it in with heroic leap/charge @ cursor. Somewhat acts like VDH sigils on leap (I think it’s called Fel Crash).
Nice for quick burst snap dps/agro. Macro basically allows me to be lazy.

So yesterday I looted a BoE shield, which I think could have sold for over 300k (and I am poor, so that's a lottery win for me). However, for the good of my guild, as we are starting our first Mythic run tomorrow, I equip it.
This morning, I get a shield from the weekly chest....
No matter what the answer is here, I am annoyed, as I should have waited to equip the BoE until I checked my chest. But, what are your thoughts on what I should be carrying going into Mythic?
I assume the Bulwark due to the vers proc, but I am unsure how that fairs up against the higher stats of the repeller

you can never sim for defensives/tankyness because theres simply too many variables to account for
even something as simple as how effective yoru dps are at dealing with mechanics can change the damage profile on any given fight
and yah... we do'nt have any 'bad' stats
but Mastery we already get a shitload of from BoM, so its not ideal to get more of if we can avoid it
Verse is good, but it also scales very.very. slowly (81 per .5% DR)
crit shines in M+ due to how godly parry is at reducing melee damage (and a huge portion of M+ is aa's)
and haste will always be your best stat with good play, because of the feedback loop created by Anger Management and Booming Voice
more haste-> more rage -> more cd usage -> more rage

in raid (or M+ where you healer is running CoF major) you pick Formless void in its place

for one thing stamina doesn't actually add much defensive value. once you get passed a healthy amount to survive 1 shots, that additional health does nothing for you, your healer sitll needs to heal every bit of that health back while stat essences actively reduce the amount of damage you take
