@twilit jay short of the 20 range all scary magic damage is basically 100% avoidable. Easy answer is to make sure you're calling out interrupts or have an automarker so your dps know what they're responsible for.
Besides SR you also have your own interrupt, and aoe and ST stun, and a group fear to act as filler interrupts when your group is lacking.
If all else fails don't chain pull when you know you'll be lacking interrupts, like its a very bad idea to pull big on Jes' floor in TD

@sick sentinel you're right news. I spend way more time than the people I raid with reading about the spec, rotation, and bosses. I also min max my TD and expedient since I'm easily getting my 5 mask runs done every week. It's nice to see it all payoff and parse in the top 85-95%!

expedient is ok, good value considering the corruption amount so it can fit in if youre aiming to be below a certain budget but if youre going for DPS it loses to TD and if youre doing content where you need worry about defensives (again, 24+ keys) you'd be trading it for vers corruptions anyway

@amber siren Thanks! I figured that much with the higher keys and with vers being better defensively. Overall I wasn't sure if having the extra haste would out weigh vers defensively, but I think that also depends on your gear and stat weights.

the vast majority of our survivability comes from preventing damage, so looking at hps at all, and leaning into trying to increase it at the expense of more effective DR sources leads to doing stuff that gimps your survivability
at a worst case spamming IP over SB and using things like blood sport and indomitable because 'it increases my hps'

Hi all what are your thoughts on this? Are we forsaking ilevel for corruption stuff? I have a belt that’s 15 ilevels higher than the one I have now. However if I equip it I lose the 18% twilight devastation. It did so much damage.
@vocal flame I asked that earlier and i got amazing responses. I just got home from work and found out that I have a twilight devistation piece thats seperate but only defals 6% vs the 18% of the other one. Still keep the 18% right?

Just want to check. For K3 third boss the elemental one. How do you handle them especially when your team focuses on the totems and does not land interrupts on lightning bolts. And where do u position the boss during pull.

never had an issue with him, my own interrupt + a SR and mashing IP was enough
and i pull him to the nearest totem for cleave
the only boss that has pretty specific positioning is the axe lady, which i tank in the middle until axes come out, and back out and in
so i dont need to worry about dodging them, just the spawn

Hey! just got back into tanking.. How come i see a lot of ppl running conflict, which gives 300 vers at MAX stacks, compared to aegis, which can give up to 770 depending on mobcount? just at 4 enemies it would seem aegis has better value ?
Also aegis is reliable as u always knows the output from it, whereas conflict has to stack first

@cursive musk you have it backwards which one is more consistent and reliable. Conflict stacks pretty earlier on and you maintain its full stacks for basically the entire dungeon. Aegis requires 6 targets to be even on par with CnS, and given how bosses are still a hefty chunk of dungeon time even on fort weeks, unless you're chain pulling adds into a boss fight to maintain stacks you lose a lot of value running it
so if you plan around it and are constantly in combat with a bunch of mobs including during bosses, sure it can be better
but this week thats flat out impossible
and even on teeming weeks you're rarely in combat with that many targets for very long with natural/conservative play
