For dissolve you always want to have your CDs up / ask for an external, technically you never have to tank dissolve if the other tank perma tanks, and you just intervene the crushes, don't even need to taunt

if you're concerned about dungeon routing, i'd definitely recommend watching videos like dratnos' routes and other resources that explain how the affixes interact with each week and what dungeons would be easy to start with. You don't need to use his routes if you don't want to as some involve skips that are not pug friendly, but he has some good insight and tips.
I'd also recommend getting comfortable with method dungeon tools as you'll be using that a lot to calculate trash %

software by your typical household brands, corsair, logitech, razer etc are fine for wow and they do support re-binding keys without the need for macros, this will depend on the keyboard ofc
i would steer clear from software like autohotkey as these go outside the usual 'macro' functionality and can run more complex scripts

I asked why and he told me he has a panic macro that uses both at the same time. I'm pretty sure he should be rotating defensives, but I thought I'd ask here just in case

Taunt works like this, it forces the enemy target to attack you for the duration of the Debuff. If you dont dmg him you will lose your top spot on aggro again.
For the Duration of the debuff you generate 4x Threat
Heroic Throw itself has a modifier to do generate 4x threat, so during the debuff window of taunt Heroic Throw generates 16x aggro

Then take pillar to the start of the bridge, kill him there, kill the pack, have someone kite the elemental ( pref rogue / mage / hunter) group runs past bridge without getting in combat with elemental, then rogue/mage/hunte try to run through ele with immunity and feign/vanish/invis/die and join you on other side
Then to make up for count you kill everything on bridge before 3rd boss
And skip everything before first boss BTW
