Bit of a problem of options: I have a 475 shield with Racing Pulse 3. I have TD3 gloves and TD2 pants for multi, and Stars2 bracers for single. The sims suggest I should cleanse the shield to wear either TD5 or TD3/Stars 2, but losing a juicy haste proc feels bad. But not wearing those damage options also feels bad.

Hey guys, how can I optimize my cooldowns/externals on shadow of Zul? Last night we did him on 21 fortified and it was rough as hell, ended up killing him on a second round of lust, so I'm trying to figure out how to optimize for next time. What I did was Lucid+Avatar+Last Stand+Demo+Shield Reflect > Shield Wall > Psychic Shell > Call for Sac > Demo/Shield Reflect > Call for Darkness/Rally
I found that Demo Shout and Shield Reflect weren't enough on their own and had to stack them 😦
hpal finished the kill with 103k hps and I with 60k hps
and I still had to be battle ressed.
Nerf at one point said that he runs Touch of the Everlasting major for the cheat death + Shield Wall reset for fort zul, anybody merit to that?

I agree with Torment, though Shell should really only be used if you need it to survive, which shouldn't be the case in 15-18s. Learning your rotation better is going to do more for you than the trinket should, and you don't want to lean on a crutch instead of improving.

hey as someone who is new to prot warrior: how do i understand our mastery? do i have like a seperate chance to block like 25 % and another chance like 40% (dont mind the nubers, they are random) to block critical or do my "normal" blocks have a chance like 40% to block critical? sorry for the bad english 😄

critical block only applies to attacks you otherwise block
so in that situation you have a 10% chance of any blockable attack being a critical block (provided you don't have LS or SB up)

Mastery increases the chance to critically block and the base block chance.
Mastery % is the chance to block when you don't have SB or LS up.
Mastery % is the chance to crit block when you do have SB or LS up.
Crit block is double reduction a normal block would do up to 85% cap

Yeah I’ve been healing instead of tanking. More fun. Except on Tol Dagor when everyone LOS behind different shit and I need to choose:
Chase them and have to walk through sanguine and die myself OR let them die because they tick out with grievous.. both get me blamed for being shit for either dying to mechanics or not keeping people alive.
