There are no more such things as "AM checks".
Meaning that if it can be blocked via Shield Block it can be blocked via Bolster.

So yes, Skewer from Yazma can be blocked with Bolster.

I wouldn't look at raw uptime of shield block, because good usage of shield block is not about that.

Imagine you're on Tyrannical king's rest. You could have 80% uptime on first boss but if that uptime is while they're casting golds or summoning adds and not when it's hitting you with the tail thrash or whatever then it's not good

If possible, always have shield block up when the boss is hitting you with anything blockable.

Use SB charges until you can't any more, last stand to let them recharge, go on from there. I try to save wall for moments where I will have no shield block for a few seconds but those are rare.

@woven venture A bit late, but most of the time VoP is better for damage and conflict major is better to live thru certain things (bleeds, magic, w/e else bypasses block and armor). If you want to sim conflict major in raidbots use ,gems=496vers at the end of a gear slot. Replace the amount of vers with w/e your current neck level appropriate vers gain is.

Yeah, it's mostly for the vers gain rather than the root. Some people are running it now because they're banking on all their damage in TD procs, which vers helps. Plus surviving non-blockable damage.

On some bosses you can get the proc, like rezan, you just want 1 add so you can get benefit against the bleed.

Just requires forethought.

To piggyback on the whole haste vs vers, even in high keys most dungeons' damage profile is still 80%+ physical (and most likely blockable). As long as you're not getting globabled by something not affected by block, there isn't really a reason to start stacking vers (other than more damage if sims tell you). Haste provides better damage smoothing and consistent CD usage via AM. On higher fort keys, trash is living longer than 51s (3x SB - LS - 3x SB), and with higher haste you can just stand there constantly having blocks up and then LS will be up on the next pull (ultimately speeding up your run because you'll be ready pack to pack).

If asking in terms of dps TD is just a pure damage proc and at rank 3 and high corruption values is our best dps option in AoE, Gushing Wound is our best ST dps option but again they are dps gains. Such as survival racing pulse is not bad if you can get a high enough haste/corruption stat set on it, but honestly even its value falls far more into a dps boost at high haste values like the rest of the corruptions.

Long Story short look at corruptions for dps gain as that is what there value is anyway for the most part. There are a few that can benefit you somewhat defensively such as the haste proc one I mentioned, but as they are so dependent on RNG as to what you get, you would be better served to look at them for there dps benefit.

It will add to the current IP up to 1.3x the size of the original cast. That being said, you are 100% going to overcap Ignore Pain at some point. It's more important to spend rage than worry about overcapping Ignore Pain.

Fella's.. this is getting silly. I'm ilvl 422 but my shield is like ilvl 260. Can I farm a shield somehow? I did check on the following link and it seems if i do enough eternal palace and mechagon dungeon runs i'll get one. Am i reading this right? They are the only two shields from dungeon?
