I have a bunch of pieces with that on damage taken proc verse, rank 2 and 3 etc, but they are only like 445 ilvl, never worn them, would like to try stacking them in future, though, with aegis c and s, as well as these procs, plus also have pants that increase verse from all sources, curious if it could ever be a strong set up.

so if you macro it to avatar thats already the first (and most potent) gcd of the trinket wasted
and likely another 1-2 as you clap-DS

King; the 3 Bastion of might is one of the key synergies that makes prot warrior do tons of damage and be super tanky for melee oriented trash; the 1 DC is of course required, things like meticulous and such are excellent but the 3 bastions are the big big part.

The general rule is that ilevel especially on huge armor pieces like azerite is the defining factor. But I had 2 465's (chest/shoulder) then got my first 480 and it was a helm with no bastion..I tried it out. I couldn't see a difference in my survivability but I noticed a little came off my zonewide dps. so I went back to my 450 helm...still lived the same; did more damage.

now I have a 480 with bastion and other traits so I'm happy with that; but unless you're pushing very challenging keys for you; if you play warrior mechanically properly DPS will be your big concern until deep into the teens on keys. Magic damage you need to pay conscious attention to; and address it.
Also; this is a straight up mathemagical fact... Good Xmog makes you do more dps, move faster, take less damage and leads to a better, positive spiritual connection with the world around you. Xmog is 86% of effective tanking in keys, and raids.

K I'm wrong, it does stack the damage, but it's odd..it's not a 33% increase it's like a 25% increase? the crits are from 300k to 400k with the belt with R1 on it, and normal hits are 150k up to 190'ish.
going from 18% of my hp to 24% should be a 33% increase in it's damage no?

Warrior is next to prot pal the best tank to deal with necrotic cuz we don't rely on self healing as midigation, we reduce dmg before hand so we can tank for prolonged times without being in danger of dying.
Typically trash dies before you reach dangerous necrotic levels of 30 or higher
If you do, use slows / shockwave / heroic leap / fear to get get some distance and reset stacks

Ah okay, i thought you literally have to Shockwave/ leap away every group to not be an unbearable tank. As this is my first necrotic week i just have to try it out i guess, which can be difficult, depending on the random Healer i get.

Most Necrotic issues come with PuG's regardless in which you are mostly not on voice and typing/expecting people to read mid combat is a big no-no.
Just think that Necrotic = only your responsibility and don't expect PuG's to know what's going on.

Priestess > Rez > Vol > Yazma. You grab 3 packs on the left, spire to priestess, clean bridge then jump to rez, grab the two raptors and the ones in the middle, clean adds up to the next spire then go to Vol with the spire, kill Vol, pull pack to the right with a rogue/hunter/mage, clean all the way to the bridge and pull mid pack to one side so the rest can go into the spire and then Yazma
