like sure Maut is great to absorb 1-off mechanics spaced far apart
but then you have windows of time when its essentially an empty slot
so (at least from a M+ perspective) instances where burst damage intake that you don't have an answer too is way more niche
and it isn't worth sacrificing better damage smoothing for the other 99% of the run
raid is a slightly different beast but again most mechanics like the 2nd eye beam from ilganoth you SHOULD have an answer too outside of a trinket, were a proactive tank class after all
so if you NEED it to survive a mechanic, by all means use it
but if you don't absolutely need it to survive you get more mileage out of the haste ones, and overall will need less healing.

Drop blob portal in front of zul bridge. Then use tankbuster portal to go to 3rd boss. Then you can go to zul without having to walk all the way back to obelisks.

For m+ generally you want to run Vison major, lucid/sphere/cns minors depending on your corruption gear you want to switch one of those for strength of the warden for raids Crucible major, null, cns vop/formless minor @sleek flax
If both of your tanks have EV corruption in raid i personally think running Strength of the warden minors over formless is more worth

Tank damage isn't bad..at least not warrior damage.
I don't mind that they nerf corruptions , hell nerf them for tanks specifically for all i care but make up for it by buffing the class abilities themselves.
Getting external power is always a "good" feeling until you realize it's going to go away next expansion and you're left with a shell of a class.

sorta. i can look at the raw damage of my 99% parses in raid, compare them to the same output of a dps class, and its a hecking gray parse for most other specs. me going ham isnt impactful. I sat myself on zaq to get an extra 30k on the boss.
but like, dungeons it can be way more variable
or on certain boss encounters

I guess it's also a bit of a question what you compare to.
I guess there were points in history where Tanks were stronger than they currently are, but for this expansion they feel quite strong at the moment.
Like doing keys on my Prot I might not get to the 60-70k of our dps but at 45-50 I also don't feel left behind all too much.
Feels like a good tradeoff for... Well being the tank and not the dps.
