Huh, haven't run into that issue. You can always just let a melee DPS take a hit with a defensive up if after the cast you've still not resetted.

Generally you should be able to reset during his frontals

using anima to buff the sword isn't gonna be a viable strategy either, since VoP/C&S/sometimes lucid are way more useful, and the former provides more damage in general

and quite frankly, there are way better minors that would provide more damage overall

I've been gearing the DK and Monk in parallel, just can't bring myself to main one of them though. Warrior feels so much better to play in m+ and mythic progression (at least at the tier i play at) doesn't feel worth playing monk/DK and hate my life in m+ which the majority of my game time.
