mechagon trucks, you might have a low ilvl shield or just not using sheildblock enough
last stand with bolster is almost the same as shieldblock, and dont be afraid to use shield wall. shield wall is not an OHSHIT button.

Well, two things. Wowhead's guide is not recommended (despite it being linked in the guides channel). And Icy-veins is raid survival.
Ideally for M+ you'd have 3x BoM, 1x DC, 2x whatever

Bring back the old BrM pre legion where you had chi and guard baseline and you took more damage upfront and less of it was staggered but you had tools to help mitigate that if you played properly, it doesn’t have to be this snooze mitigation machine

As of current loot lists, there's only a single shield in the entire raid, it drops off Il'gynoth, the 10th boss, its so fucking far in the raid & its not even one of the last 2 meaning it doens't have increased ilvl

@noble cliff it’s really simple tbh, what gives you more overall stats? If the socket ends up totaling more stats than your ilvl upgrade then stick with it if not then use higher ilvl

for armor pieces you generally go ilvl over sockets
but it's fairly subjective, you can sim for dps but hardiness is harder to quantify
