Kelade (fury warrior) made a good video on coral for m+. You can basicly keep the crit Buff rolling as you progress through adds. So i dont think its as bad as you make it Late.
Personally i would never use it. I enjoy the defensiveness from urchin + edict in higher keys

I’ve tried to get benthic boots with socket and bracers but no luck. Only gloves so far. So I had put boots up to 400, but now using 455 boots instead. But then again I’m not taking raiding too seriously so haven’t done any alt farming

There aren't really BiS trinkets since ilevel is a thing. But Rezan's Gleaming Eye and Gore-crusted Butcher's Block are very strong options if you can get them; the former from Atal'Dazar and the latter from Waycrest Manor.

I use phial and inkpod even though kind of meh. 445 and 430 both socketed. Have 430s of all the dungeon ones.
Rezans gore and vial are all strong m+ trinkets. If you get one forged with socket just juicy

Yeah Fang is good damage but, as you said you can't move. And you also can't block/parry/dodge during the channel which is probably the most dangerous in the situations where you'd want to use the trinket's effect (larger pulls)
