a few tips not mentioned in the guides @solid star :

for your earlier question, yes, you should be part of the interrupt rotation to prevent stacking of Gale on the 2nd boss in SotS
Taunt is your friend and it isn't just an "ooops sorry" button. It magnifies your threat during the window by a substantial amount
DPS have access to crazy essences now so you have to be more diligent about your distribution of damage. Specifically, not only targeting one mob (stuff like your auto-attacks all contribute to your threat) and spreading out your shield slams
Heroic Leap resets Taunt's cooldown. Use it in a Pinch or combo it to lock down two mobs for little effort.

@verbal crane yep, it's pretty bad for two reasons:

its values are just poor. Low damage on the proc and the healing isnt' anything to write home about considering the proc rate
It's an RNG healing proc, so even if you do proc it...it may be right after your healer just topped you off, when you're full, etc.

Considering how low some of those BV values are, the BV data is likely skewed by suboptimal play.

I haven't really used Aegis, but I'd say the vers buff and the healing is pretty weak compared to more rage gen. And the major is just another flat damage reduction CD. Between the two I'd always choose Lucid, in minor or major.
