So I have ran into as issue. I had a 420 helm with Bastion of might and deaf crash, well today I got a 435 helm from pvp vendor. it has deaf crash and the next ring is brace for impact. shoulders dont have bastion and my heroic 430 chest doesnt have bastion. that is all the gear I have.

Crit comes into play more in m+ due to the consistent large pulls helping normalize parry rng

That all said - a lot of warriors doing higher content, in one form or the other, have decided based on their personal experiences that after a certain point they don’t need more defensives - but want to focus on maximizing DPS

That’s why you see people running devastator, reckless flurry, lots of crit in raid, etc.

So it’s not at all that you suck. It’s that you maybe haven’t reached a point where you can afford that yet. Maybe your healers aren’t strong enough. Maybe you’re not playing optimally - we don’t know. Maybe you don’t need to pump out a little more damage.

Sorry to bring it up again but if I use the 440 and 430 here in the picture I’ll have 15% crit 12% haste and 44% mastery and I think it was around 20% versatility...that haste unbuffed kind of makes me not want to do the 440 and 430 combo with my current set up haste is like 15% unbuffed and that already feels slow when im soloing in open world content fighting a single rare. What do you guys think?

@chrome falcon 10% damage is so little that there's simply no way it's worth the loss of weapon ilvl

i might drop 5 ilvls for it IF (and only if) I had a specific cooldown plan in mind and the extra 10% at a specific point in the fight was needed to stop a oneshot

if you don't have a specific plan in mind for an extra cooldown then it is useless especially if it's only 10%

#

10% is far too low to be something you can have "just in case" and expect to be able to pop it to help out a dangerous moment, it's not enough by itself to turn a dangerous moment into a safe one

#

if it didn't also cost you 10% damage done it might be a slightly different story

#

because the reality is that button is only worth using if it outright saves your life

because if you didn't need it to save your life then it wasn't worth the damage loss

@novel temple Well, you should never need two defensives since it's rare you even need one. So that question is kinda moot. Ashvane's trinket (assuming you're talking about urchin) is the best defensive trinket we have right now. As far as whether to use the socket or the higher ilevel on Edicts @fervent cairn , I would probably use the higher ilevel just because if you're using a defensive trinket, then the effect is why you're using it so you should have the better effect.
