I had a fun time a couple months ago trying to figure out how attack power is calculated and how to get actual stat stuff.

Attack power is simply 1 AP per strength multiplied by the % of AP you gain from mastery. Weapon DPS is separate in ability calculations as far as I know.

guys, I played the first season of bfa, and skipped the second. now I want to play wow again in azshara content patch, and I need to decide whether to play warrior again. i am sure there are tons of new information, but I wonder if you could give me the short version. I wasn't really satisfied with warrior last year, because I didn't have my own group to run keys, and nobody wanted to take a warrior in 10 and beyond. I played in arms, and in uldir I was good, at least on most of the bosses, and cleared 7/8 in mythic while being one of the most damaging classes most of the time. it was okay, but there wasn't a high demand for warriors in guilds recruitment, because everyone needed other classes more for their utility, and warrior had none. so that and inability to successfully pug keys made me sad. it would help if warrior could tank, but you know that back then he couldn't. so I simply want to know if prot warrior is a thing in the actual content, and if people want to take him in 10+ at all. and maybe some general information of where does warrior stand in the current meta, including the damage dealer role. any insight would be appreciated, as well as maybe some links to statistics where I can look up something myself. cheers
