the whole goal is to lower the opponent's defenses
so that when that hit comes, it hits for a massive fuckton
there are moves called "stampede", or "flock" or whatever, they do the same thing, its a 2-3 round move that has your pet running over the target and applies a double damage taken debuff to its opponent
so basically haunt hits for a shitton, with doom ticking behind, when the debuff is up
that has been the strat for... around 95% of the pet fights
in both zones lol

Logic: Avatar is when we're our best selves. More of it is amazing. Lucid's minor is really solid considering that a) we burn rage like crazy anywho and b) it's a refund meaning it benefits AM and c) poor man's Leggo Wrists! The 3rd, I'm pretty sure Sphere gives haste which is just always welcome
