second is fixed by just getting comfortable with how far the knockback is

there is no guide to where they spawn
the pattern is just for how many spawn in a row
like on the second cast there's going to be only two circles, so you soak one, look for the next, soak it, then you can chill out because you know a third one isnt coming
you can heroic leap to cancel a knockback IF you use it before you're off the edge
you can't recover once you're over the water
realistically unless your raid is braindead and lusting the boats, the boats are the harder part of the fight so the most important thing is to just concentrate on your 1 job and not worry about maxing dmg or anything, to avoid wasting P2 time by missing soaks
because during prog the hardest bit will be just getting to P2 consistently

jump and charge are get out of jail free cards rather than helpfjul in getting to soaks
it is impossible to have a soak spawn that you can't get to without running at normal speed unless you misplay

paladin is better at soaking because consecrate is up for every soak for mastery DR, seraphim has a very short CD, and they have a self heal to help the healers out + holy shield can proc randomly to reduce the damage

and ardent defender + GOAK
while you only really have shield wall and last stand
but paladin is also better on the boss since the DOT trucks pretty hard and holy shield works on that too
since the MT isn't usually being dispelled

since both classes can do it fine and both classes can tank the boss fine and its more important to have someone who won't lose focus/concentration

If you're worried about not getting to them tune your azerite into longstrider, be specced into bounding leap or whatever it's called, make a mouseover intercept to get to the range stack, have a warlock portal available from back to front of platform, bring lightfoot potions as an oh-shit button and then if you're dying change your azerite into more defensive choices because the ire does hit hard

I loved XIV WAR's.
I had no issues in XIV with tanking. We cleared server 3rd on refrain and 10th for UCOB.
I don't find the savage content any difficult. Usually cleared within the two or three weeks.
But I ended up switching to PLD because the WAR in my static could Felcleave better than me.
With that said, 100% there was a point in time in which WAR was just a weak class.
The changes they made to it were immensely positive.
