how do you actually learn the m+ boss mechanics? I've watched the videos and done some reading - I'm coming back after years off and although I pick things up quickly, I get a lot of shit when I mention it's my first time running a given dungeon

well, unfortunately, that last part just happens cuz....well people suck
as far as learning goes, the M+ boss mechanics are no different than Mythic normal
so if you want to learn mechanics for mechanics sake, i'd stick to that where people are less likely to get pissy (as they care more about their key itself)

They're actually no different than heroic now, but you're more likely to actually notice the mechanic in Mythic than Heroic.
But I always just jump in and do the dungeon. If you're a decently quick learner you can pick up on shit pretty fast. And most of the stuff that would be super important to dodge on higher keys won't necessarily one-shot you on lower keys or regular mythic.
So you can make mistakes and not ruin the run

important things to note are:
- Abilities you can dodge
- Abilities you can't dodge (generally these will hurt more and more as you go up)
- Where you can place them for general positioning
however, i'll tell ya the hardest thing to learn about M+ isn't the boss, it's the trash abilities

It's a strong defensive trinket but it's very...spread out is the phrase I'd use. It's a consistent damage reduction, not something that's going to save your life.

it's hard to judge on that number alone, because you really need to look at time in combat. You had 11 uses of it . That many, using it on cooldown, is 22 minutes out of your total 35. Factor in time out of combat and it's prob not the worst

Well tbh Rezan might be better than both vial and jes (probably is), but vial has the on-demand sexy avatar damage, and a 410 block is better than a 400 rezan for M+ damage
With your trinket selection, there's no way I'd use Jes though.
