In very broad terms, generally speaking, how would the damage taken / mitigation compare between a Prot Warrior and a Prot Paladin? As an example, presume both were tanking Heroic Jaina. Same item level, same fight length, etc. Would the warrior perform better in overall damage taken / mitigated? Would the Paladin? Would / Should they be the same? (I don't play Paladin at all so I'm curious and presume someone here who knows Prot Warrior also knows Prot Paladin).

@obtuse tiger Jaina is actually a horrible example since it mostly plays for the strength of the Warrior due to the main damaging ability being blockable.
Paladin is spikier than Warrior but they have the tools to recover from it with HOTP and they are also stronger vs Magical damage due talent choices not to talk about cheesing a lot of things with DS etc. On the other hand warriors while being tankier in the sense that we don't spike that much we can't really recover from mistakes by ourselves due to no self sustain.

When tanking in 407 ilvl with around 22 % crit , 21% haste, low versatility and 24% mastery i feel more fast paced, more sturdy than if i go higher ilvl with 12% vers, 19% haste, less mastery and way less crit. Is it just me being used to pressing the buttons with higher haste or anyone else sacrificing ilvl for haste/crit/mastery in m+?

Question for all of you tanks. I am a pretty new player and I played BDK to tank for around a month. I mostly played healer. I do enjoy tanking a lot more though. I'm thinking of leveling a warrior but I'm unsure I'd enjoy it? I know this is a pretty dumb question but is Prot warrior a fun spec to play? Is it fast paced, does it have a lot of downtime? Etc. What I like about DK is the big cooldowns. It seems like warrior has those as well?
