The TL;DR for racials is that they don't really matter.
Some of them are pretty good situationally - BE's Arcane Torrent is pretty good for most dungeons - but you can do just fine on whatever race.
Outside of some niche shit, none of them are really impactful.
If you wanna play Zandalari because they look baller, play one. I play Nightborne because I like them.

TC is a good trait. The negative aspect of it is not a danger if you're playing properly. The lesser negative aspect will likely come in to play if you're doing very difficult content (meaning the lack of a buff at sub-50%), though you should still have pretty solid uptime on it. That being said, it depends on what you're comparing it with too.

Your first goal as a tank is staying alive..this can be covered by good play as always..
If that's down then you can focus on helping your raid via other aspects..like pumping out more DPS.
Also, i wouldn't say that..99 parses are definetly not all cheeses.
For example i got R9 on Grong and that included no cheese.

On farm high parses are fine... Super high parses on progress usually means you didn't use IP enought 😛
also.. how high you parse as prot is kinda dumb anyway.. as your single target dps is very much linked to the ilvl of your weapon, and multitarget is linked to your haste..... I upgraded my weapon from 415 to 420 and suddenly all my (farm) parses went from ~80% to 90+

If you want high dps you'll go for crit/haste with weighted crit pieces.

Just follow the general rule of ilvl > everything else.
If you have 2 pieces with the same ilvl but different stats then prefer the one with haste on it.
