Great routes.. I recommend trying the "expert ones" and if you find that they require thigns your setup cannot do, see if you can find a way to work around it by doing things like: Bloodlust a very hard pack that others would skip, use deathrun instead of shroud and more..

i'm really struggling when it comes to stats choice.
Currently I have a 390 ring with 260 haste and 170 mastery. The other day I loot the new ring from BoD heroic, 400 ilvl , but it gives 140 crit and 250+ vers (dont recall correctly).
So.. i like the higher item level, it also got some crit. But man, how do i drop 260 haste without thinking its a mistake.
What do you guys think about that scenario?

As prot you generally want the higher stat total over everything.
So in that situation the 400 ring would be your better bet.
I can relate though that having low haste feels shit, so if you feel like you can just as fine survive with the haste it's not exactly a shit decision to just go with Haste 🤷

At the moment my warrior got ilvl 407, resulting in 29% mastery, 11%/5,5% versatility, 18% haste and 11% crit. Feels pretty solid to play like this

I recently dropped freehold ring and other haste items for a ilvl increase and absolutely massive crit
Parrying all those KR bleeds felt absolutely amazing let me tell you
The more we stay in the current patch you will slowly get back all the haste you lost , maybe even more

When itemising there are 3 questions
- is it higher ilvl? Equip it
- is it the same ilvl but has more haste? Equip it. (I also personally choose tertiary stats over no tertiary stats but thats pure personal preference)
- does it have a socket? Count as 5ilvls for armor, 10 ilvls for rings and 0 ilvls for weapon or shield
Ofc when 2 weapons or shields have the same ilvl but one has a socket, you wear the socket

I saw above that NE is the only option for prot war.
I personally have always ran human, and recently went Dark Iron for the racial. The ability to clear debuffs (Necrotic, reaping, etc) is super handy.
Does shadow meld really out perform that, or is there something else?

If you need the defense go StrengthInNumbers and if you want more dps then go Heed. They arent super comparable since its pure offense vs defense.

Reflect is kinda vierd interaction in that fight... as it actually damages the mage, you don't get the stack.. but when the dot goes off on the mage it actually nukes your entire raid instead of the mage + monk(nothing big, but try time it such that this does not go off at the same time as another tank debuff expiring)

@narrow abyss BDK is supposedly amazing in mekkatorque and blockade (we have not gotten that far on Mythic ourselfs, so not speaking of personal experience); Mekka is a lot of magic damage and also repositioning the spark bots help a lot. Blockade is also a lot of magic damage and the DK "80% slow" can literally stop the adds from moveing.

To be fair, the damage part of prot is w/e. Blizz can nerf it and prot warriors will still be strong. The advantage prot warrior has currently, is that it's probably the best tank at actually mitigating high damage intake in m+.
