The amount of healing I have at the end of a dungeon is about 40-50% from the healer's total

That's true for most offensive trinkets.
They are just strength and offensive proc.
Occasionally the secondary proc has a small defensive benefit (such as Syringe giving crit = parry), but it's negligible.
If you want a "hybrid" option, it's better to just take 1 offensive and 1 defensive rather than 2 stat sticks

refresh rate only does make a difference if your FPS match the refresh rate without gsync/freesync

and obviously not in games like WoW, it is extremely noticeable in First person shooters though

even then, playing WoW on a 60hz monitor will make you miss 144hz for sure
