Zeno, I think the classes 'play' fine...you're manipulating a bunch of gcd's now, like any other patch in the game...and arguably the animations and sound effects are now better than they've ever been. The difference is you end up asking yourself "why am I doing this..?" and there's no good answer. Literally the most compelling thing atm in game is chasing IO score. The most rewarding thing in wow (for me...was..) is being provided by a third party website's leader board~.

Back to what you were saying Veteran; BFI is of course only triggered when using shield slam and in the larger aoe pulls where prot dps actually shines you aren't going to be using globals on shield slam; which is why for that purpose I like iron fortress..but not much 'good' gear has IF on it, so you end up basically using Grid runners Galaea, a chest or shoulder with Deafening crash..and then you'll end up having 1 more piece with likely BFI on it anyway.
