5 to 10 ilvls are fine to sacrifice for your desired stats, 15 ilvls is not

You should only sacrifice more than 10 ilvls if it will put you over for your RA stack to take over whichever stat you want. That's pretty much the only scenario. Sockets are kinda worth 10 ilvls, etc. That's my go-to when it comes to rings.
