There's no such thing as far as I know, falern. The closest I could think of would be a weak aura that yells at you to not cast shield block while last stand is active
Macros cannot stop you from doing anything as far as I know

What type of PvP are you refering to? Prot in 3s is really nice - but not if you are expecting massive numbers
It's also a niche spec, you can't play it in every comp - In world PvP you're not going to do much but you can kill people. Casters are easily handled with shield bash, SR, pummel, DC, shockwave, MSR
Melee you can kite forever with no DR on thunderclap root and you can burst people so fast with avatar and thunderclap spam.. Shield block stops an obscene amount of damage from autos.

It's subjective? It is hard to say... I have gotten three tanks to 330+ ilvl and the warrior is far and away super fun to play. I find it's more proactive, than reactive tanking.

Yeah pretty much. People bandwagon ideas and chase FotMs at the start of new tiers and we just got the shit end of the stick.
I've been telling people it's because it takes more effort to play prot war at a minimally acceptable level than other tank specs
E.g. we are very strong, but mistakes can be more punishing due to our need for constant proactive mitigation

To further on from my above point (sorry at work so i'm quite sporadic) the thing I seem to struggle with atm (although I am still leveling) is that I hit the rage cap easily and I can't burn it fast enough and use up my SS and Revenge procs

@wild hamlet when I have excess rage I usually use IP to open my pull with. So if there is rage left over, I IP, charge, shield block >= if high damage intake, SW, SS, and I only use revenge when I know I can dps/dump rage or I just wait for procs. In dungeons and leveling I usually had a few revenge procs per pull.
