When pulling a boss, pop your offensive CDs before the pull so you don't waste GCDs on the boss.
Get a nameplate addon like kuinameplates that helps you see which mobs you have threat on and which ones are losing it.
Get a weakaura that yells at you to use your class buff when you or someone in your party doesn't have your class buff.
If you don't have weakaura, get that addon.

Thorp just time it with incoming damage. Ignore pain for magic damage, shield block physical. Worst case scenario remember last stand blocks 100% so dont overlap it with shield blockm
