The Rage is fine, you're just simply not spending it correctly, which means you likely aren't playing the rest of the spec all that well either.
Do you have Unstoppable Force talented? That alone with Anger Management would solve a lot of your AoE threat issues, if you play your Avatar windows correctly.

Holding aggro is no issue whatsoever, aoe pulls can be tricky only if you don't pull first or have dps targeting off targets
Helps to have the group aware of focus fire targets as well ad letting you pull first with a couple seconds of threat building

There are going to be a lot of people who are shit at dungeoning at first. Going from a lame duck tier into leveling, with a concurrent tank threat nerf, DPS are going to be playing with a lot of bad habits

Its one thing if they are redirecting on you, but yeah. Even if they are just radius pulling without actually hitting the mobs to "help stack them", they are still leading them to a place where DPS can accidentally hit them before the tank has aggro
Tanks should pull, DPS should chill. Especially in time-constrained shit like M+. It only makes it take longer when the tank has to leap around and restack loose adds
