BDK self heals are always good on "trivial" content like a normal raid or ~+15 keys (comparing to legion), are prot warriors just as strong to help carry friends through that content or do they still require more attention as absorb/mitigation only does so much?

I've tried DX12 a few times after multiple updates and my 1070 doesn't seem to like it. I get stutter and short lockups. A coupke crashes in earlier beta builds. I'm just not gonna bother anymore.

the more I think about IP on the GCD, the more I wonder about what they're thinking. You either press IP or Revenge. You're already limited by the resource, so you couldn't really hit both even with IP off the GCD. LotP actually makes more sense, as it doesn't have a resource, so they force a choice by putting it on the GCD. IP doesn't really need that

IP on gcd doesn't bother me too much but everything else having a chance to proc SS and basically our entire "rotation" being based around SS procs doesn't feel good. You're either hitting SS every other GCD and not even using most of your other abilities or you're doing shit damage outside of Avatar.

yeah, I'm used to IP, it's just a baffling decision. I still hate that everything has a chance to proc shield slam. Devastate used to have an identity. You had to decide if you wanted to hit revenge for the extra damage, hit TC for AoE pickup, or try and proc a SS reset with devastate. It was a multi-tiered decision. Now devastate is just there to fill globals, and it's one of the reasons it feels worse to hit than it used to

Iโve been struggling a bit on that myself. Iโve finally decided as of only an hour ago that Iโm lvling prot war first followed by blood dk then Druid third. I plan to have all three at 120 by end of day Wednesday. Iโll be running in a party tomorrow but may not be for the dk/druid. I plan to main prot with blood as backup if it is needed for specific fights, then druid mostly for gathering and healing occasionally as well as an emergency third backup. Co-tank is a pally.

Otherwise...am I the only person that's probably going to bench all legendaries for leveling? I feel the leveling process is to get you used to playing the class for the current patch; and every legendary will lose it's efficacy well before 120. As much as I'll miss triple leap, and the crafted run belt/ boots...etc.

Because they won't make that much difference, why get used to that crutch? you WILL Lose them.. why even bother with them being part of your toolkit at any point.

It's not that I can't adjust...we all went from not having devastator, to using it...etc. I just don't like the idea of swapping around gear, or using a useful ability...that I'm going to lose as I approach the end of the level cap. Rather feel the class for how it will be at 120, from the start. (minus of course the azerite abilities)

From my xp on Beta, protection solo leveling is not very good. 2-3 mobs and you are dead. Note that this was with the "beta start gear" so if you have mythic raid gear it might be a lot better of course. I will level as Arms or Fury for sure.

Getting initial threat is more important than an additional damage cd. Our passive mitigation is good enough to wait that one gcd for demo as a defensive.

I have enough rage for a shield block on pull when I precast avatar then charge. Don't need demo for the initial sb. You do however need initial threat.

Arms/Prot take less damage than fury when it gets broken down, but yeah Fury's self sustain is a bit stronger against Elites.

Keep an eye on the pins or check the resources tab over the next week or so in case someone posts something more concrete. I'd imagine someone will run numbers or things will change if blizz decides to throw in a hotfix for classes.
Usually first few weeks classes get buffed or nerfed in an expansion. (remembers blood dks almost self healing raids in naxx)

I remember very well. I was mostly curious about the new azerite traits because the most noteworthy one seemed like deafening crash. Increased demo shout is pretty tasty, but I didnt have the resources or time myself to test out traits like the block ones
